Key Responsibilities
- Establish and lead a team of VFX artists and compositors (in-house and remote) to complete projects
- Establish a pool of additional VFX artists to hire on an ad-hoc basis
- Manage individual projects’ VFX workflow
- Liaise with the Production Lead to estimate time needed to complete shots and projects
- Review WIPs and provide constructive feedback
- QC composites to identify problems and suggest solutions
- Liaise with the Head of Visual Effects to assist in the development of VFX techniques and workflow to fit into the AI-driven workflow
- Work with DevOps to establish the remote VFX production platform
Requirements
- 5 years+ compositing experience
- Skilled in Nuke X, ideally including the SplineWarp, Smart Vector, and Match Grade nodes
- Skilled at tracking and matchmoving, ideally including good knowledge of KeenTools FaceTracker plugins for Nuke.
- Skilled at object removal, CG compositing, and paint work
- A keen eye for detail, especially in face work
