If you thought Tom Cruise couldn’t possibly out-do his Mission Impossible Rogue Nation A400 plane stunt, featuring Tom Cruise literally hanging from the plane as it took off, then you don’t know Tom Cruise.
In the latest Mission Impossible trailer it features Tom Cruise doing an intense underwater scene.
Tom Cruise told USA TODAY that he worked extensively for the underwater scene shot without a cut, training to hold his breath for over six minutes.
Says Cruise:
“It’s something I have always wanted to do. (Director Christopher McQuarrie) and I have been thinking about it since working on ‘Edge of Tomorrow.’ I have done a lot of underwater sequences. But we wanted to create a suspense underwater sequence without cuts. So doing that sequence was really interesting. We’re underwater and we’re doing breath-holds of 6 to 61/2 minutes. So I was doing all my training with the other stuff (on-set). It was very taxing stuff.”
Cruise worked extensively for weeks with Kirk Krack, performance underwater trainer, for the breath training to complete the scene.
“When you’re making ‘Mission’ movies you’re working with athletes and stunt people at the height of their game,” says Cruise.
Rebecca Ferguson, who is the latest cast member to join the cast of the Mission Impossible franchise revealed that on her first day she scaled the Vienna Opera House with Tom Cruise and later took part in the infamous underwater scene.
Says Ferguson:
“When you are with Tom and the ‘Mission’ team, the best people are brought in to train you. So you are actually capable of managing everything. It’s incredible to know you have the ability to do these things.”

Chris Pratt reveals that he gains weight to play comedic roles because it makes him funnier. However, to last in Hollywood he lost over 100 pounds to stay relevant and healthy.
Chris Pratt has become one of Hollywood’s biggest actors since last summer’s blockbuster hit movie, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy‘ rocked the box office.
This summer Chris Pratt leads in the hugely anticipated Jurassic World, and his good looks have earned him millions of followers on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. But, in a new interview with Men’s Healthmagazine, the 35-year old actor has revealed how he was forced to take action after he weighed in at 300lbs just two years ago.
The actor hit 300lbs at his heaviest but dropped the weight to star in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’. The actor revealed he toned up to play a baseball player in 2011’s ‘Moneyball’, before shooting back up in weight for 2013 movie ‘Delivery Man’ – that’s when he hit 300lbs.
It was his success in ‘Parks and Recreation’ though, with producers expanding Andy’s character to a recurring role thanks to Chris’ popularity, that convinced the actor that he had to gain weight.
‘I saw myself in an episode,’ Pratt, who admits he used to devour three or four cheeseburgers at every table read, told Men’s Health, ‘and in the matter of two moments very close together, I thought, “Oh my God, I’m getting fat.” And then almost immediately I did something else and I thought, “Holy crap, I’ve never seen myself funnier.” And I put the two together.’
‘I’d gone back and forth, lost weight for Moneyball, got fat again, then trimmed down for Zero Dark Thirty, then gained it all back again for Andy. That’s when I saw Zero Dark Thirty and right after walking out I was like: “I’m going to get in shape and I’m never going to be fat again,”‘ he explains.
‘I was impotent, fatigued, emotionally depressed. I had real health issues that were affecting me in a major way. It’s bad for your heart, your skin, your system, your spirit,’ he adds.
Chris Pratt lost weight with dedicated workouts and a drastic change in his diet, which he admits wasn’t easy. Chris Pratt is currently working with Denzel Washington in the ‘Magnificent Seven’ remake which is currently seeking extras and stand-ins.

Hollywood has a thing for young actresses matched with older actors hence, the “Hollywood Age Disparity”.
We’ve become extremely accustomed to 20-something actresses getting romantically involved with much older men onscreen, so much that we hardly even notice when it happens anymore.
Did it bother you when Emma Stone was matched with Edward Norton in Birdman? Or when Scarlett Johansson was matched with Mark Ruffalo in The Avengers: Age of Ultron? How about the time Jennifer Lawrence was cast as Bradley Cooper’s love interest in several movies?
In an interesting article from Vulture, Kyle Buchanan breaks down the major age gape that is affecting some of the biggest young actresses today and the impact it is having on women in Hollywood.
Emma Stone
Andrea Raffin / Shutterstock.com
It wasn’t long ago that Emma Stone was known for playing a high school student in ‘Superbad’ and the breakout hit ‘Easy A’.
In the span of only four years, Emma Stone went from working with guys her own age to being Colin Firth’s love interest in Woody Allen’s ‘Magic in the Moonlight’. Sure, the near 30 year difference is a major talking point in the movie, but this doesn’t change the fact that this is a common trend in Hollywood. Only a year earlier, Emma Stone was matched with Sean Penn.
But, this does not only affect women. Creating the older man-younger woman relationships is leading to fewer and fewer leading men in their 20s landing major roles. And if Vulture’s chart on Emma Stone is any evidence, this trend is become more and more popular and common in movies.
Jennifer Lawrence
Featureflash / Shutterstock.com
Jennifer Lawrence is one of the most popular actresses of our time. The director of ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ and ‘AMerican Hustle’, has a habit of casting Jennifer Lawrence in parts originally scripted for older actresses. Of course Jennifer Lawrence does a great job, but this means she will more than likely get paired with an older man.
This is having devistating consequences for other actors in Hollywood. While Jennifer Lawrence can land any role between 20 and 40-years-old, actresses like Maggie Gyllenhaal (37) are told they are too old to be a love interest for a 55-year-old male actor.
Casting directors are getting to the point where it is more believable to see Bradley Cooper with Jennifer Lawrence together despite their 16 year age difference, than to see him with someone his own age. The only time Jennifer Lawrence is with someone her own age, it’s in ‘The Hunger Games’.
Scarlett Johannson
cinemafestival / Shutterstock.com
Scarlett Johannson has been in the industry since she was a child. But, she still has one of those faces that seem to never age. Johannson is a great example of a twenty-something actress working with middle aged actors so often that we forget how old she really is.
While moves are not supposed to be 100% realistic, shouldn’t there be a few examples on Johansson’s acting resume wher eshe can be with someone who is in her age range? Right now, that’s probably never going to happen.
Perhaps the single most important point to bring up regarding age disparity in Hollywood is that while young women are systematically paired with older men, the reverse is never true. Male actors have more options when it comes to leading co-stars, but, the most popular women onscreen can’t get with younger guys – or guys even their own age. When is the last time you saw Betty White with a 20-something actor?
Head on over to Vulture for more of their insights into the topic and further analysis of the data.

Nationwide talent search ’20th Century Women’ for teen actors.
Megan Ellison’s Annapurna Pictures will produce late 1970s drama “20th Century Women” with “Beginners” director Mike Mills on board to direct from his own script.
Ellison will produce alongside Anne Carey of Archer Gray and Youree Henley. The film will begin production later this year in Southern California.
“20th Century Women” is centered on three very different women teaching a boy what men are, what women are, and about love and freedom in Santa Barbara 1979. When the boy’s mother takes in a male border, his world view is further shaken.
“The film is an ode to the women who raised me; my mom, my sisters, the girls I was in love with or looked up to at school and in the punk rock scene where I really learned about the world,” Mills said.
Mills made his feature-film directorial debut with 2005’s “Thumbsucker,” which he adapted from a novel of the same name by Walter Kirn. In 2010, Mills wrote and directed “Beginners,” starring Ewan McGregor, Christopher Plummer and Melanie Laurent.

It’s 1979. Jamie’s mother has been raising him without the father for many years. Producers are interested in making ‘Sony Hack‘ the movie.
As you may recall, around Christmas time ‘The Interview’ was set to premiere but North Korean hackers caused for the movies release get cancelled. Well, get ready for a movie about it.
The first film to address the Sony Pictures hack is in the works, from the team behind 2013’s Oscar-nominated, Emmy-winning documentary The Square from Netflix. Spouses Jehane Noujaim and Karim Amer quietly are working on a documentary that explores the cyberattack.
The untitled film is expected to drop new bombshells. Sources say director Noujaim and producer Amer will put forth alternative theories about the hack’s culprit. After the breach was detected Nov. 24, focus immediately shifted to North Korea, which had expressed outrage over The Interview. On Dec. 19, the FBI and President Obama fingered the rogue nation as the perpetrator.
But many in the cybersecurity community believe that the attack likely was an inside job given that the hackers exhibited intimate knowledge of the architecture of Sony’s servers.
Hopefully in the movie we can find out who really caused the Sony Hack. But, it may be interesting to see Sony make the feature film version with James Franco playing Seth Rogen and Seth Rogen playing James Franco. With Randall Park returning as Kim Jong-Un and Barack Obama played by The Rock.

‘Seinfeld’ ruined this actress career simply because they couldn’t get along.
If you watched Seinfeld, you may remember the time that George (Jason Alexander) and Susan (Heidi Swedberg) were engaged. But, you may have had trouble understanding why the relationship was so short lived.
Alexander was a guest on Wednesday’s ‘Howard Stern Show’ and admitted that the show’s writers decided to kill off Susan with poisonous envelopes because he and the rest of the cast did not enjoy sharing scenes with the actress.
“I couldn’t figure out how to play off of her,” Alexander said of Swedberg, who followed her 1997 departure from the celebrated NBC sitcom with roles on Roswell, Gilmore Girls and Bones. “Her instincts for doing a scene, where the comedy was, and mine were always misfiring. And she would do something, and I would go, ‘OK, I see what she’s going to do — I’m going to adjust to her.’ And I’d adjust, and then it would change.”
Alexander said he wasn’t happy when, three episodes into Swedberg’s stint on the series, co-creator Larry David informed him that George and Susan would be getting hitched.
“What [David] said was, what Heidi brought to the character is, we could do the most horrible things to her, and the audience was still on my side,” Alexander said, laughing.
Later on the show’s run, with producers still unsure of whether Susan and George would go through with the weeding, Jerry Seinfeld and Julia Louis-Dreyfus shared a number of scenes with Swedberg and finally understood what Alexander was complaining about.
“They go, ‘You know what? It’s f—ing impossible. It’s impossible’,” said Alexander, who stressed that he had nothing against Swedberg personally. “And Julia actually said, ‘Don’t you want to just kill her?’ And Larry went, ‘Ka-bang!'” Just like that, the character’s fate was sealed (so to speak).
Since then this actress’ film industry has basically stopped.

The controversial documentary “An Open Secret” reveals pedophilia in Hollywood.
“What you see in the film is the tip of the iceberg” says producer Gabe Hoffman on An Open Secret, the documentary from Oscar-nominated director Amy Berg about child sex abuse in Hollywood.
A new documentary about the sexual abuse of children within Hollywood is hoping to reveal Hollywood’s dirtiest secret – an alleged network that implicates major industry figures.
‘An Open Secret’ was shown this at the Cannes Film Festival, and is directed by Oscar-nominated director Amy Berg, who previously explored pedophilia within the Catholic Church in ‘Deliver Us From Evil’.
The documentary features first hand accounts from young actors who suffered at the hands of managers, publicists and directors, while underage. In addition, the documentary receives input from investigative journalists and psychologists who present a collection of damaging evidence.
“What you see in the film is literally just the tip of the iceberg,” executive producer Gabe Hoffman claimed. “For every victim that’s in the film, there are another five or 10 with fact-checked, legitimate accounts who didn’t want to be identified.”
The movie covers several registered sex offenders that are still allowed to work within Hollywood. Including actor Brian Peck, who previously worked for Nickelodeon alongside director Bryan Singer on X-Men and X-Men 2; Peck was convicted of two counts of lewd acts with a child but, Peck is still working in Hollywood.
“Why is he still working on a studio lot when he’s a convicted pedophile?” Valentinas said.
“Who is checking that? Who is doing the hiring?” Hoffman followed: “We want journalists to ask every single major studio: ‘Why would you allow any convicted pedophile to work in any form with your organization, period? Why are they any part of what you would ever do?’”
turtix / Shutterstock.com
The documentary also explores the case of Marty Weiss, a youth-talent manager who was convicted of two charges against Evan Henzi, who alleged that Weiss assaulted him between 30 and 50 times over a five year period. Weiss ended up serving just six months in prison.
“I’m angry at the legal system.” Henzi, now 21, said. “I’m starting to understand exactly what happened to me because if I keep it in my head, I’m so confused all the time. I blamed myself and felt guilty. Going back to the beginning, I realized that was not the case and it was just me trying to believe that everyone was good in the world and knew better than me. Now that I’m older, I know it was just sick. You don’t have sex with an 11-year-old kid.”
The aim of the film is to help victims of abuse and prevent them from suffering from psychological issues. In addition to imposing stricter laws and penalties for convicted sex offenders.
But the content of the film, which covers alleged drug parties laid on by a group of connected older men to seduce and intoxicate underage actors as well as more personalized stories of abuse, has led to difficulties getting people to see the movie.
The production was banned from several major film festivals, including London, and the movie has struggled to find distribution. The movie will get a small release in 20 major cities, in hopes to reach a wider audience.
Michael Cudlitz may have accidentally spoiled a major “The Walking Dead” character death on Twitter.
During ‘The Walking Dead’ off season, rumors often run high, but it’s usually because of excited fans speculating about what’s going to happen.
It’s rare that an actor or actress will let anything slip, which is why you should probably take the tweet of Michael Cudlitz (who plays Abraham) lightly. It could mean anything. It could mean he messed up big time. It could mean he’s playing a horrible joke on us. Or it could mean something completely different.
The Walking Dead Spoiler Alert!
A few days ago, Josh McDermitt – who plays Eugene on ‘The Walking Dead’ tweeted that he hasn’t been around ‘The Walking Dead’ set lately because he’s working on a film. This is how Michael Cudlitz responded:
WHAT? “HAD a blast working with you,” as in, the past tense? As in, Cudlitz was killed off?
Whatever it was, Cudlitz quickly deleted the above tweet and replaced it with “Enjoy”.
Accident? Could be. Or maybe Cudlitz just meant,”Had a blast working with you these past few weeks, and looking forward to seeing you back on set.” Or maybe he posted it just to screw with The Walking Dead fans. Which is pretty common. Robert Kirkman teased Glenn’s death which ended up being a lie.
That said, if anyone is going to die on ‘The Walking Dead’ it is probably going to be Eugene, who may have a hard time finding his way on the newly crowded Walking Dead set.
I guess we will have to wait and see when the sixth season of ‘The Walking Dead’ arrives.

According to reports, Samuel L. Jackson told reports that he cant figure out why he will not appear in ‘Captain America: Civil War’. His character, Nick Fury, may have appearead in the ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ movie, he won’t appear in ‘Captain America: Civil War’. This news is so shocking, in fact, Samuel L. Jackson was surprised to hear the news.
“I’m not in Captain America 3,” he told Collider. “I can’t figure that out, but I’m not. I guess I’m still out there, trying to figure out what happened to SHIELD and who these other people are.”

If you’ve seen ‘Age of Ultron’ Samuel L. Jackson, then you would know that the actor had a small role in the movie but, still came to the help of the Avengers. Therefore, it is pretty odd that Nick Fury’s character would be nowhere to be found.
Maybe, Marvel is trying to keep Jackson for other movies. Jackson revealed weeks ago that he only has two more movies left in his contract. “I’m looking for a contract extension right now, yeah,” he told the website. “I’m looking to re-up.”
