Disney is going to remake ‘Sister Act’.
A remake of Whoopi Goldberg’s comedy ‘Sister Act’ is in the works at Disney.
According to reports, the original 1992 feature film is currently in development. ‘Sister Act’ centered around Whoopi Goldberg a loung singer hiding out from the mob at a San Francisco convent, where she pretended to be a nun.
‘Sister Act’ made $232 million worldwide, while ‘Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit’ made $57 million domestically. The ‘Sister Act’ franchise was so popular it was turned into a Broadway musical.
