The highest paid actress in the world, Jennifer Lawrence earned $30 million less than Robert Downey Jr.

Forbes’ annual ranking of the highest-paid actress’ salaries was revealed last week and Jennifer Lawrence made the top of the list.

Jennifer Lawrence made $52 million this year, making her the highest-paid actress in the world. Her acting skills landed her roles in some of the biggest movies of the decade including Hunger Games and Silver Linings Playbook. 

Meanwhile, Robert Downey Jr. made $30 million more than Jennifer Lawrence. We don’t know what endorsements and other projects Robert Downey Jr. has going. But, we do know, thanks to Forbes, that the 18 high-paid actresses in Hollywood made, in total, $660 million less than the highest-paid actors.

That is a huge gap.

Here’s the KISS songwriter that was arrested for child pornography last year.

Yesterday, Gene Simmons’ home was raided for child pornography. A LAPD task force targeting internet crimes against children reportedly searched Kiss singer Gene Simmons’ home last night. Neither Simmons nor his family are suspects in the investigation and all were said to be “very cooperative.”

It is important to point out that Gene Simmons is not a suspect in the investigation, however, it begs the question why was the rock star’s home searched for pornography?

Last September, former KISS songwriter was busted on five counts of child pornography after authorities “tracked images to his computer”.

The investigation reportedly began when the U.S. Department of Justice’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force determined that child pornography had been uploaded from a Bluffton home.

The material was tracked to Coronel’s computer. []

Stephen Coronel, 63, played alongside Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley in “Wicked Lester” the group before KISS. Coronel co-wrote songs that appeared on early KISS albums. Coronel was arrested with five counts of “sexual exploitation of a minor”. Authorities tracked pornographic images of children to Coronel’s home.

Dr. Dre issues apology over the women he’s physically abused in the past.

The rapper-turned-music-mogul addressed allegations, newly revived int he wake of Straight Outta Compton that he physically abused women. Following the allegations that he physically abused women, Dr. Dre issued a statement expressing how sorry for his actions.

“Twenty five years ago I was a young man drinking too much and in over my head with no real structure in my life. However, none of this is an excuse for what I did,” Dre told the New York Times. “I’ve been married for 19 years and every day I’m working to be a better man for my family, seeking guidance along the way. I’m doing everything I can so I never resemble that man again. I apologize to the women I’ve hurt. I deeply regret what I did and know that it has forever impacted all of our lives.”

Accusations by hip-hop journalist Dee Barnes and former R&B singer Michel’le, who was once the hip-hop star’s fiancee, that Dre assaulted them have received increased attention since the release of the N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton, which doesn’t include such incidents, causing Michel’le and Barnes to call out the movie omitting what they said happened to them.

Dr. Dre works as a consultant after selling his Beats company to Apple. The tech giant issued the following statement: “Dre has apologized for the mistakes he’s made in the past and he’s said that he’s not the same person that he was 25 years ago. We believe his sincerity and after working with him for a year and a half, we have every reason to believe that he has changed.”

Michel’le revealed Dr. Dre’s abusive history, telling morning The Breakfast Club, “When he gave me my very first black eye, we laid in the bed and cried. He was crying and I was crying because I was in shock, hurt and in pain. I don’t know why he was crying, but he said ‘I’m really sorry.’ That was the only time he ever said he was really sorry. And he said, ‘I’ll never hit you in that eye again, okay?'”

Meanwhile, Dee Barnes wrote an essay for Gawker where she discussed teh 1991 release party where Dre allegedly tried to throw her down a flight of stairs, choked her and pinned her to the floor of the women’s bathroom with his knee on her chest. Barnes settled out of court with Dre, who pled no contest to assault and served only two years probation. “The truth is too ugly for a general audience,” she wrote. “I didn’t want to see a depiction of me getting beat up, just like I didn’t want to see a depiction of Dre beating up Michel’le. … But what should have been addressed is that it occurred.”

Hollywood actors are worried their career is over due to the Ashley Madison hack.

According to reports, Hollywood actors, NFL stars, and top politicians are struggling to stop their names from getting leaked due to the Ashley Madison hack.

Celebrities are “desperately” trying to find an expert to help them figure out and manage their reputation following the Ashley Madison hack. These include actors from a major Hollywood action film, a top NFL player, reality TV star, a politician and Coca Cola executive, according to Daily Mail.

Many Hollywood stars worry about being outed as cheats will destroy their reputations. One company, Reputation Management Consultants, has received record number of calls from celebs worried about the hack and data leak.

One Hollywood star was so scared of his marriage falling apart that “he cried for 5 minutes.”

The Reputation Mangement Consults charge between $10,000 to $100,000 for a month for service. But CEO said some celebrities used unknown emails to set up accounts – and did not use their credit cards therefore, they will never get caught.

Data shared online by hackers lists the names, home address, IP address, credit card details, and email address of paying Ashley Madison users.

Marvel and Netflix’s ‘Luke Cage’ cast Alfre Woodward.

Netflix’s Marvel series “Luke Cage” has added Alfre Woodward to the cast, according to reports. While the details of her character have not been revealed, the new series will be the third series following Daredevil.

Mike Colter stars in Luke Cage and the series which will premiere after Jessica Jones. According to reports, Colter’s superhero alter-ego will first appear on Jessica Jones, which features Krysten Ritter.

“Fans have longed to see Luke Cage brought, and in Mike we’ve found the perfect actor,” said Jeph Loeb, executive producer and Marvel’s head of television, at the time of Colter’s casting. “Viewers will get to meet Luke Cage in ‘Marvel’s A.K.A. Jessica Jones,’ and experience why he is such an important super hero in the Marvel mythos.”

Luke Cage is produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios for Netflix.

Afre Woodward has worked on several shows and movies including HBO’s True Blood and TNT’s The Last Ship.

N.W.A. biopic ‘Straight Outta Compton’ will get a sequel featuring the rise of Snoop Dogg and the death of Tupac Shakur.

N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton was a box office hit this weekend making over $50 million. So it’s interesting that in a follow up to the West Coast rappers will include Snoop Dogg and the late Tupac Shakur.

TMZ reports that a sequel is being lined up about D.P.G featuring artists Warren G and nate Dogg, which will be called Dogg Pound 4 Life.

Daz Dillinger, one half of The Dogg Pound which was also founded by Kurupt in 1992, told the website that the movie will pick up where N.W.A left off in 1991.

The D.P.G. music will be the basis of the storyline, but the 42-year old said that the sequel will not sensor the violence like ‘Straight Outta Compton’ did.

Suge Knight for example, the Death Row producer once accused of killing Tupac and Bigge Smalls, is also thought to be featured in the upcoming Straight Outta Compton sequel.

The members of N.W.A – featuring Compton hip hop artist’s Eazy-E, Ice Cube and Doctor Dre- made up a majority of the first film. It was produced by Ice Cube and Dr. Dre and had a bigger opening than Eminem’s 8 Mile movie in 2002, and Notorious, about rapper Notorious B.I.G. that opened to only $20.5 million in 2009.

N.W.A’s ‘Straight Outta Compton’ biopic stars O’Shea Jackson Jr.as his dad Ice Cube and Corey Hawkins as Dr. Dre in the story about how N.W.A. emerged in the 1980s in response to life in the hood and police brutality in Los Angeles.

The sequel to ‘Straight Outta Compton’ is expected to include Dr. Dre’s son Curtis Young this time, but actors for the role of Snoop and Ice Cube have not been announced yet. Which means casting directors are still casting.

TMZ has confirmed though that Ice Cube, who is currently promoting the movie in London this week, will not be involved with producing the sequel.

KISS singer, Gene Simmons’ home was raided for child pornography.

A LAPD task force targeting internet crimes against children reportedly searched Kiss singer Gene Simmons’ home last night. Neither Simmons nor his family are suspects in the investigation and all were said to be “very cooperative.”

The task force is apparently looking into some event that occurred while Simmons was on tour last year. Details are still vague and his family is advised not to disclose details of the search warrant to the press.

The rocker’s publicist said the police visit was connected with a crime that may have occurred on the property last year while Simmons was away touring with his band. Authorities requested Simmons and his family not to discuss the case to avoid undermining the investigation, publicist Cheyanne Baker said in a statement.

Simmons wife, Sharon Tweed, later tweeted “We couldn’t be more horrified that someone used our residence for such heinous crimes,” and advised her followers, “don’t forget to change your passwords!”

TMZ is also reporting “someone downloaded child porn either on one of their computers or using their Internet access,” and computers “and other evidence” were seized.

This story is eerily similar to what happened to Jared Fogle. Last month, Jared Fogle, the former Subway spokesperson, had his home raided for child pornography. The raid was led by FBI investigators and Indiana State Police officers. Reporters on the scene say an evidence truck is parked in his driveway.

The raid was part of a long-term investigation that started back in April after cops arrested Russell Taylor, the executive director of Fogle’s The Jared Foundation, for child exploitation, possession of child pornography, and voyeurism. Investigators say they found as many as 500 images in his home. Several weeks later it was revealed that Jared Fogle slept with at least 14 kids.

We will have to wait and see what happens to rock star Gene Simmons.
