ABC is closing in on a deal to create a pilot for a project centered around Mockingbird.
Titled ‘Marvel’s Most Wanted,’ the drama will focus on popular “SHIELD” characters Adrianne Palicki‘s Bobbi Morse (also known as Mockingbird) and Nick Blood’s Lance Hunter. The two actors will topline the pilot and prospective series.
According to Variety, the show was created for Marvel and ABC Studio and the series is not a spinoff but a new project focused on the two characters. Though plot details have not been released, Marvel’s Most Wanted will follow the characters and their adventures.
An Agents of SHIELD was announced in April, but it was soon after shot down with the network not deciding to move forward. However, earlier this year, ABC president Paul Lee announced that the series will be brought back, “It certainly is a possibility of spinning them off.”
Lee pointed out that SHIELD was extremely creative, suggesting that they will not mess up the formula the writers have created for the series.
ABC will have several Marvel shows if this show makes it past pilot season. Currently, we have Marvel’s SHIELD and Agent Carter plus a top secret project created by American Crime creator John Ridley.
