Tammy Smith Casting is currently looking for actors, models, and talent to work on the new Netflix series OZARK as it films in Atlanta, Georgia. Producers are looking for Caucasaian guys to be henchmen of a lead character. Producers are looking for guys between the ages of 25 to 50 who look like rural types. Filming will take place on Wednesday, October 12th and Thursday, October 13th with possible reshoot dates later on in October.

The drama series starring, executive produced and directed by Jason Bateman, has landed at Netflix and centers around dark and dangerous world of drug-money laundering. The series takes its name from the location where it is set, The Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri, according to Deadline.com.
Jason Bateman will be involved in establishing his creative vision for the series working with Bill Dubuque from The Judge. This will be Jason Bateman’s first major return to TV since Arrested Development for Netflix, which earned him a second Emmy nomination.

Despite overwhelming positive reviews, The Birth of a Nation flops in the box office earning only $7.1 million.
Playing in over 2,000 movie theaters across the country, Nate Parker’s latest film was expected to make at least $9 million – still low figure considering a movie that was purchased for a record breaking $17.5 million at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.
Surprisingly, critics praised the movie saying “Whatever one thinks of the messenger, the delivered movie is worthy of attention. It’s a film for the here and now, a document that nicely supports the BlackLivesMatter movement (and throws shade on the AllLivesMatter nonsense).”
Set against the antebellum South, The Birth of a Nation centers around Nat Turner, a literate slave and preacher, whose financially strained owner, Samuel Turner, accepts an offer to use Nat’s preaching to put unruly slaves in place. As he witnesses countless atrocities–against himself and his fellow slaves–Nat orchestrates an uprising in the hopes of leading his people to freedom.
Meanwhile, The Girl on the Train starring Emily Blunt won the box office weekend with $37 million. It’s important to point out that The Girl on the Train features less diversity, and poorer movie ratings than The Birth of a Nation. However, Tate Taylor’s drama about a divorcee who becomes entangled in a missing persons investigation seemed resonated with audiences. Even though critics called the movie “a lifeless wax museum version of a real thriller.”

The CW’s The Originals is now casting athletic guys who can pass for Native Americans to work on a flashback scene. Casting directors are looking for fit gues between the ages 18 to 50 who are fit, fierce and strong. Filming will take place on Friday, October 14th.

Nia Long first made her big-screen debut on the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. She would later win her first AACP Image Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. Then, she would make her feature film debut in John Singleton’s Oscar-nominated film, “Boyz In The Hood.”

His movies have sold out box offices time and time again. Recently, Kurt Russell sat down with the SAG-AFTRA Foundation to discuss his latest production, Deepwater Horizon.Â
Based on true events, DEEPWATER HORIZON follows the heroes who helped save lives from inside one of the biggest man-made disasters in history. Directed by Peter Berg, the film follows Mr. Jimmy (Kurt Russell), the captain of the vessel, and electrician Mike Williams (Mark Wahlberg) who are called into action when an explosion on board kills 11crew members and leads to a massive oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. The cast also includes John Malkovich, Gina Rodriguez, Dylan O’Brien and Kate Hudson.
In the video, Kurt Russell share some pretty incredible acting tips for aspiring actors and trained professionals. Kurt Russell talked about meeting with trained oil rig workers and the person he was supposed to play in the movie. He explains how meeting the real life person before filming is crucial to creating a good character on screen.
