Disney’s ‘Pete’s Dragon’ nationwide open casting call for lead roles.
Online video auditions are now available for kids interested in auditioning for lead roles in the upcoming Disney movie ‘Pete’s Dragon‘.
‘Pete’s Dragon‘ centers on a Pete. After losing his parents in a car crash at the age of four, Pete escapes to the forest where he meets a dragon who becomes his closest (and only) companion. When a nearby mill threatens to cut down the forest, Pete encounters his first humans since the death of his parents and is faced with choosing between his dragon friend and the prospect of a traditional childhood.
Casting directors are looking for kids ages 8 to 9 for a lead role in the upcoming Disney movie, ‘Pete’s Dragon’.
‘Pete’s Dragon‘ is a remake of the 1977 feature film of the same name. The original film was a musical about a young boy with a magical animated dragon is won the run from his adoptive parents.
‘Pete’s Dragon‘ will be written directed by Pete Lowery.
Deadline to submit is July 18, 2014 and all actors must be available from October 2014 through April 2015.

Producers for CBS Studios’ NCIS New Orleans are now hiring stand ins in New Orleans.
NCIS fans rejoice, and get a triple dose of crime investigations on CBS.
The CBS network has added four new dramas and a new sitcom to their fall lineup, including “NCIS” a spinoff set in New Orleans, titled NCIS: New Orleans.
NCIS: New Orleans is a spin-off of NCIS that is set in, you guessed it, New Orleans.
The new televisions series will feature Lucas Black, Paige Turco, and Scott Bakula.

Starz Network ‘Power’ season 2 casting call for yoga students in New York City.
According to the Starz Network, “Power” tells the story of James “Ghost” St. Patrick, a wealthy New York City nightclub owner who caters to the city’s elite. He wants to build an empire, turn the club into a Fortune 500 business, but there’s just one problem: Ghost is living a double life.

According to Deadline, Power recieved a second season after the premiering the first episode two weeks ago. HBO will air Beyonce and Jay Z in their first tour together in September.
HBO Programming president Michael Lombardo announced on Thursday that the September 12 and September 13th concerts at Stade de France in Paris will feature the superstars performing more than 40 songs will be recorded and aired on the HBO network.
This is a major musical event that belongs on HBO,” said Lombardo in a statement. “It’s going to be a night to remember.” said of the ongoing tour: The coordination is not just remarkable, it’s the absolute best way that two of the world’s best performers can deliver a show that proves why they are on top together.”

Although the music stars have recorded together, this is the first time the married couple has toured together on the same bill. The tour began June 26 in Miami.

AMC ‘Better Call Saul’ will not be what you thought it would be
When AMC first announced in Breaking Bad spinoff, Better Call Saul, it was announced as a prequel that will focus on the evolution of Saul Goodman character before Saul became Walter White‘s lawyer.
When we first meet Bob Odenkirk’s character, he’s actually known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer hustling to make ends meet and working with Mike.
Yesterday, producers answered TV critics’ questions about the sequel and announced that the show will bounce around in time.
Vince Gilligan announced: “I think the best way to answer this is that you saw, from Breaking Bad,we like nonlinear storytelling. I would definitely point you in the direction of anything that is possible on Breaking Bad is possible on Better Call Saul. It’s fun for us to be as nonlinear as possible.”
That said, the series will start the year 2002 and will continue until present day.
TV critics had major questions regarding the upcoming series and asked what they could expect out of the first season of ‘Better Call Saul’.
Gilligan and executive producer Peter Gould said they are now working on Episode 8 and have yet to bring anyone back. “We’re trying to make something that stands on its own, that has entertainment value not just as seeing a series of old favorites or “remember when” – not the series equivalent of a clip show,” Gould explained.
“We’re still feeling our way through this…figuring out if and when — when and if — to see some of these characters,” Gilligan added.
But don’t expect the show to be a carbon copy of “Breaking Bad“. “Peter came with an idea book of frame grabs from classic movies, like The Conformist, we talked a lot about Kubrick,” Gilligan said. “We’re doing our damndest to make it as different as possible. It’s important that this not look like a carbon copy of Breaking Bad.”
There’s a chance fan-favorite villain Gus Fring played by Giancarlo Espositocould return.“There’s always a chance, yeah,” Gilligan said. Added Gould: “These are all characters we love and with Gus there is so much more to say about that character, and we certainly love Giancarlo. Having said that, we’re trying to make something that stands on its own that has an entertainment value that’s not just seeing a series of old favorites. It’s not the series equivalent of a clip show. So we try to balance these things out. But I agree there’s so much to be said about Gus — although in the series it always seemed to me that Saul didn’t know Gus directly. He knew a guy who knew a guy.”
Deadline reports that the premiere date is set for 2015.
He said the delay in the new show’s premiere date– it’s now set for 2015 — was entirely a function of his being “slow as mud as a TV writer.” “We had a pace, thanks to AMC and Sony, on Breaking Bad that was deliciously stately for television,” he explained. “We averaged three weeks just for breaking episodes. Not a surprise to me, we’re doing same with Better Call Saul, and we feel that pays dividends. With Breaking Bad, people said that seemed to knit together pretty well. … So here we are again, doing same.”
Better Call Saul is described as a 50-50 collaboration with Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould but noted that “Peter created the Saul character” and will become even more involved as the series progresses.
The series regulars and their confirmed character names joining star Bob Odenkirk: Jonathan Banks (Breaking Bad) as “fixer” Mike Erhmantraut, Michael McKean (This is Spinal Tap) as Chuck, Rhea Seehorn (Franklin & Bash) as Kim, Patrick Fabian (Grey’s Anatomy) as Hamlin and Michael Mando (Orphan Black) as Nacho.

Tracy Morgan files suit against Wal-Mart over horrific car crash.
Tracy Morgan is suing Wal-Mart over the June 7 crash in which the limo bus he and others were riding in was rear-ended by a Wal-Mart truck.
The lawsuit complaint was filed in New Jersey District Court alleges that Wal-Mart knew or should have known that the truck’s driver, Kevin Roper, had been awake for 24 hours when he fell asleep behind the wheel of the tractor trailer and rammed into the limo.
It also reports that the truck’s collision-avoidance system did not engage and that “Wal-Mart knew or should have known that one of the truck’s most important safety features had been compromised.”
The actor/comedian was critically injured in the New Jersey Turnpike wreck, which ending up killing his friend and mentor James McNair. McNair’s widow Krista Millea and comic Ardie Fuqua Jr, both of whom were injured in the crash.
The suit reads, “As a direct and proximate result of the physical injuries sustained by Mr. Morgan in the collision, he has been in capacitated from pursuing his usual employment and other activities, may be left with disabilities that will in the future similarly incapacitate him and cause him pain and suffering, and may require medical treatment.”
Tracy Morgan is currently being treated at the rehab center and is expected to remain for the next few weeks.

Colin Farrell reportedly in talks to star in True Detective’s Season 2.
Deadline is reporting that Colin Farrell is in “deep negotiations” to star in the second season of HBO’s ‘True Detective’.
Details surrounding the second season of ‘True Detective‘ have been extremely vague, and for the most part kept under wraps. Which has led to a lot of speculation about the number of leading actors, who is in the cast, and who will actually become the director in the series.
But, Deadline is pretty confident that Colin Farrell will be in the new True Detective series:
I can tell you that Colin Farrell is deep in negotiations to play one of what is expected to be three main roles in Season Two. HBO has been mum about cast so far, as rumors have swirled that Jessica Chastain and some others will be one of the other leads. HBO would not confirm any of the potential castings, but I am confident that Farrell will be in the cast.
This may work out great for the actor whose movies have not done really well recently. With “Winter’s Tale” bombing in the box office, leading actor Colin Farrel has added another poor performing movie to his resume.
The romantic fantasy from Warner Bros. is expected to make less than $10 million dollars over Presidents Day weekend. That would make this the third movie in a row in which Colin Farrell has played a leading role and the movie flopped.
