The Golden Globe winner, Aziz Ansari, was accused of inappropriate behavior by a woman who he went on a date with last year.
According to an article published in Babe, a 23-year-old girl, who decided to remain anonymous named “Grace”, was reportedly “in tears” after her alleged date with Ansari. The actor exchanged phone numbers with her at an Emmy Awards after party. She claims their date ended with her feeling violated. “Grace” claims he almost immediately began kissing, fondling and undressing her. Then she said Ansari was going to grab a condom but asked him to slow down. However, he continued and performed oral sex on her. Grace says when he started sticking his fingers in her throat she used “verbal and non-verbal cues” to show her discomfort with the situation.

The woman claims Ansari doesn’t know if he got the message, but when it eventually clicked she said he said, “Of course, it’s only fun if we’re both having fun.”
“Grace” says Ansari continued to push himself on her. She says she eventually left in tears. She texted Ansari the following day, “Last night might have been fun for you it wasn’t for me. When we got back to your place, you ignored clear, non-verbal cues; you kept going with advances. You had to have noticed I was uncomfortable.” She then described part of the experience.
The woman says she decided to come forward after she saw Ansari wear a Times Up pin at the Golden Globes, where he won Best Actor.

It was a major shock to viewers when Carl Grimes was bitten by a zombie in the midseason finale of The Walking Dead’s eighth season. Not only does this not happen in the comics, but there is not a single storyline in the comic book series that killed in a similar way.
Ultimately, it has given the show’s creator some pause about the future of the series. “I think [showrunner Scott Gimple] first brought it up to me as a possibility probably about a year ago at this point. At first, I was kind of like, ‘Well, that’s a big one, you know?’ I might have had a little bit of trepidation.”
Gimple added a few more details, however, Kirkman changed his mind. “Once he laid out to me exactly what his long-term plans were, and the things that come out of it, and the things that it leads to, it was something I got on board with.”
Fans of the series, however, do not have the ability to see the future of the series, so many people are concerned. In fact, someone has even launched a petition to have Scott Gimple fired.
Carl is one of only five cast members remaining from the first season, and another one, Lennie Jamies, is leaving the show at the end of the season to appear in Fear The Walking Dead. Kirkman understands and appreciates the concern.
“We are supposed to be worried about what comes next,” he told EW. “And anticipating what comes next, and stressing about what comes next. That just shows that you’re engaged and you’re interested. Our job is to now pay that off and fulfill that interest, and prove that this was a decision worth making. That’s what we’ve got to do.”
Robert Kirkman, Gimple and even Chandler Riggs insist that the midseason premiere will give fans something to look forward too.
“There are big, huge stories coming up that you might think will be massively altered because of the absence of Carl,” says Kirkman. “But we have known these storylines have been coming for years. There are plans in place to make it all work. The loss of Carl doesn’t necessarily mean that we’re going to be losing big swaths of the comic book story. It means that there will be some differences to them. The goal is that those differences will be as exciting to the audience as they are to me.”
Following allegations of domestic abuse against Johnny Depp, author J.K. Rowling has admitted the possibility of recasting the actor in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. Yet, at the end of the day, Rowling defended keeping him in the film. In response, Amber Heard pointed that Rowling picked “certain lines” of her joint divorce announcement with Depp in a way that suggested one party was not telling the truth. Daniel Radcliffe has now been asked to take on Depp’s casting, which is certainly an uncomfortable issue to tackle.
The Harry Potter actor talked about the subject with an uneasy response with Entertainment Weekly. Radcliffe called this a “hard thing” for him to discuss, given the film’s producers “gave me a great start in life and an amazing job.” That said, he still understands why people are upset.
“I can see why people are frustrated with the response that they were given from that … I’m not saying anything that anybody hasn’t already said — and this is a weird analogy to draw — [but] in the NFL, there are lots of players arrested for smoking weed and there is other people’s behavior that goes way beyond that and it’s tolerated because they’re very famous players. I suppose the thing I was struck by was, we did have a guy who was reprimanded for weed on the [original Potter] film, essentially, so obviously what Johnny has been accused of is much greater than that.”
Radcliffe gave a diplomatic answer, considering the circumstances. It is important to note that actor Jamie Waylett was dropped from the final two Potter films after his arrest for growing marijuana.
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald hit theaters on November 16.
Starz announced on Friday that it was moving forward with a TV series set in the John Wick Universe. The show will be set in Los Angeles (not New York City, like the movies) and “maintain the urgency of the action along with the dry humor from the John Wick movies.”
Keanu Reeves is attached as a producer and he’s expected to cameo at some point, while Chad Stahelski, who directed John Wick and John Wick: Chapter 2, will helm the pilot; The Wire and Sons of Anarchy writer Chris Collins were hired as showrunner. The cast has yet to be announced.
“This series is truly unlike anything else on TV,” said Starz president and CEO Chris Albrecht in a press release. “The Continental promises to include the thunderous fight sequences and intensely staged shootouts between professional assassins and their targets that fans have come to expect in the John Wick movie franchise as well as introducing some new, darkly compelling characters who inhabit this underground world.”
With the rise of #MeToo and the revelations of men like Harvey Weinstein, some men have misunderstood the meaning behind the movement, claiming that women are overreacting and that men are the ones who are truly being persecuted because their “office flirting” has been “misinterpreted.”
Recently, Liam Neeson, while promoting his new movie The Commuter, made it clear his thoughts on the movement.
“There’s a bit of a witch hunt happening too. There are some people — famous people — being suddenly accused of touching some girl’s knee or something, and suddenly have been dropped from their program or something.”
Neeson continued, talking about howA Prarie Home Companion‘s Garrison Keillor was a victim who did nothing wrong. However, his opinion got even more upsetting when the topic of Dustin Hoffman’s alleged sexual harassment and assault came up, with Neeson claiming that Hoffman groping a woman’s breast was “childhood stuff.”
“The Dustin Hoffman thing, I’m on the fence about that. When you’re doing a play, and you’re with your family — other actors, technicians — you do silly things. And it becomes superstitious if you don’t do it every night you think it’s going to jinx the show.”
Neeson continued, speaking about his time as a UNICEF ambassador and the struggles that women around the world endure. While equivocating hardships in Hollywood is nothing in comparison to third world countries, it does not necessarily mean that the harassment so many women face in the workplace is not bad. There are degrees of harassment, but that does not give men the opportunity to treat women as disposable commodities.
Quentin Tarantino has a history of working with the same actors, and once you’re in one of his movies, you’re likely to come back at least once. Just ask Samuel L. Jackson. And now, add Leonardo DiCaprio to the list as Tarantino brings DiCaprio back fro his still-untitled movie set against the backdrop of the Manson Family murders.
DiCaprio will be in the movie is still unanswered, as the movie’s plot is still being kept under wraps, although it will apparently have Tarantino’s signature plot structure of telling separate of but connected stories out of order.
Also on the board to be cast in the movie are Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, and Al Pacino. And there may be some sort of a reunion in the works with Margot Robbie reportedly signed on to play Tate.
The movie is scheduled to debut August 9th, 2019, the 50th-year anniversary of the murders, which is a usually quick pace for Tarantino, who recently decided on embarking on the Star Trek franchise.
