The Coronavirus has shaken up Georgia’s film industry. That said, Georgia’s film industry is on track for a comeback. According to a statement by Gov. Brian Kemp, an estimated 40,000 production workers will find jobs at 75 projects, which are expected to start filming over the next 18 months.

Now, Georgia’s film industry is booming and hiring jobs, all thanks to its film tax credit program. Which means there are hundreds of jobs available for aspiring actors and filmmakers.

Georgia’s Help Wanted Hotline producers are now accepting resumes for all crew positions. ‘Cut Throat City‘ starring Wesley Snipes movie trailer is finally here.

RZA’s upcoming feature film ‘Cut Throat City’ has been revealed featuring an A-list cast including Wesley Snipes, T.I., Ethan Hawke, Shameik Moore, Terrence Howard, and Isiah Washington.

‘Cut Throat City’ centers around four childhood friends who return to their hometown in New Orleans following the events of Hurricane Katrina. They discover their neighborhood will not be repaired by FEMA. As a result, they turn to a local gangster who offers a risky casino heist in exchange for cash. The heist goes wrong, however, the four find themselves running away from detectives and a drug warlord who believes they stole the cash.

Joining RZA behind the scenes are writer P.G. Cuschieri and cinematographer Brandon Cox. 

‘Cut Throat City’ filmed in New Orleans in November 2017 and it was rumored Lil Wayne had a leading role in the feature film. There were numerous casting calls and job postings for crew positions.

Verizon Creates a $5 Million Fund for Female Filmmakers

Verizon reveals a multi-million dollar fund for women filmmakers.

According to Variety, Verizon has allocated $5 million in production budgets for female-led projects.

The Future Fund will support aspiring female directors and focus on emerging content creators. The mission is to create content that celebrates women as part of Verizon’s goal of  “ensuring that we have women represented in creative projects,” according to chief marketing officer Diego Scotti.

The first initiative is the documentary film “Not Done,” which celebrates the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment granting women the right to vote. The movie was executive produced by Dyllan McGee, a documentary filmmaker who is the founder and executive producer of Makers, Verizon Media’s brand dedicated to accelerating the women’s movement. “Not Done” is the directorial debut for emerging filmmaker Sara Wolitzky and has an all-female and non-binary production crew.

The 60-minute “Not Done” is set to air on PBS on June 30 and will be distributed on Verizon Media’s content networks as well. The film and the $5 million funds are announced at Verizon’s 2020 Makers Conference in Los Angeles.

Smooth, well-maintained hands is a must. No dry skin, calluses etc. Wrinkles to cue age are ok.

ALL TALENT WILL BE PAID A DAY RATE plus USAGE FEE IF BOOKED. **Some talent will be expected to play different roles and will be compensated with an extra session fee.
For instance mom 1 may play nurse libby.
Dad may play uncle
