The Director of Communications for North America is responsible for internal and external communications for one of the largest regions of the business. Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES – WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART YOUR KEY FOCUS WILL BE

• Lead Corporate Communications for Bacardi in North America and reporting directly to the Global Head of Corporate Communications serving as strategic storyteller, change influencer, and content creator
• Provide strategic communications guidance for regional leadership and change management programs supporting the Regional President and Leadership Team
• Have a pulse on the news externally to identify headline-making news ideas, pitches and press releases that drive our business priorities
• Manage a direct report focused on Internal Communications for the region
• Collaborate with Corporate Communication leads in other regions to ensure consistent messaging across the global organization

Skills and Experience

Role Purpose/Mission:

This position is responsible for developing and implementing an impactful North America PR strategy in line with brand and marketing priorities and objectives. This position conceptualizes and executes all public relations and communications efforts in North America, including corporate communications, media outreach and all press events and strategic alliances. Strategy:

· Continually look for ways to increase effectiveness of pitching for brands iconic products and key initiatives.

· Support NA Marketing and Sales teams by collaborating with retail partners on press outreach and initiatives.

Events:

· Plan and execute all national, regional and short lead press launch events (with global alignment)

· Oversee all organic influencer outreach and activities to promote the brand and develop brand ‘loyalists’

Corporate:

· Develop presentations for Senior Leadership, Sales and Retail Partners in a strategic and engaging manner.

· Ensures key internal players are kept up to speed with applicable industry news pertaining to competitor launches, advances in the industry, etc.

Additional Responsibilities:

· Lead PR Department for North America, inclusive of Manager and Coordinator.

· Work closely with Global PR Department, Sales, Marketing, Education and Digital teams.

· Interface with North America Executives and Global Executives as needed.

· Event management for all NA PR activities.

Qualifications:

· 10+ years’ experience in PR, with luxury and beauty background

· Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Travel Retail Worldwide Communications team supports all communications – including Corporate Communications & Affairs as well as Consumer PR & Influencer Marketing – for a reputable beauty company with 25+ prestige beauty, skin care, fragrance and hair care brands within the Travel Retail channel.

In this role, the Director, Corporate Communications & Affairs, Travel Retail Worldwide (backfill) will support the Executive Director, Communications to build the Travel Retail division’s reputation as an innovator within the industry, a top destination for talent and a leader in sustainability, social impact and inclusion, diversity and equity. The Director will craft compelling, multi-media content that tells the story of our channel and build strong relationships with key media, industry organizations, NGOs and internal stakeholders to further our reputational goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Corporate Communications

  • Engage Travel Retail employees with the division’s strategies, objectives and culture across a variety of internal channels and touchpoints including Town Halls, intranet, email, etc.
  • Lead 2H Town Hall planning with support from Associate on agenda development, planning, executive/leadership comms, and presenter coordination
  • Work with Associate to manage and produce an always-on editorial calendar of Travel Retail successes and updates to share the story of Travel Retail within the division and across the company
  • Work with Regional Comms teams to source 2-3 stories/month per region to highlight regional work

Typical Skills and Experiences:

Education: Undergraduate studies in communications, journalism, advertising or related field preferred.

Experience: Typically, three or more years of related experience in a communications field, including participation in corporate communications projects, editing and writing communications, developing and executing communications projects.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Validated knowledge in communication techniques. Proven knowledge in advertising, public relations and/or sales/marketing communication concepts is preferred. For web positions, need to be familiar with online writing practices and understand internet/intranet as a communications vehicle. The Area Director of Public Relations primary focus is to develop and implement strategic public relations plan for the hotels, generate and maximize relevant media exposure for the properties on a local, regional, and national level, effectively implement, pitch related Loews Hotels Brand programs to local media, act as liaison between the hotels and the community oversee internal communications as well as social media.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute PR and social media strategies for the hotels, keeping the hotel’s positioning and brand top of mind
  • Be the creator and gatekeeper of all copy and content for the hotels they oversee
  • Create newsworthy promotions and story ideas to include F&B, spa, family, leisure, weddings, group and other topics that are relevant to the hotels
  • Promote Good Neighbor promotions or events
  • Develop and maintain hotels media materials and press areas of the Loews Hotels Web site
  • Distribute media releases for each hotel’s key markets on both national and local level
  • Keep abreast of consumer and trade media interests in order to better capitalize on publicity opportunities.
  • Maintain strong media relations with local and regional journalists and pitch hotels efforts
  • Create media personalities within the hotels staff – i.e. GM, chefs, concierge, etc. to generate positive exposure for the hotel. Train staff as needed to appear on camera or be interviewed
  • Participate with local CVBs to stay current on destination promotional efforts, and host journalist requests when appropriate
  • Develop relationships with organizations and businesses within key markets that support and enhance PR efforts
  • Liaise with onsite contacts about media visits and requests
  • Manage all media inquiries, press visits and onsite productions
  • Monitor all forms of media (TV, radio, online and print), report on media mentions and share best media coverage
  • Responsible for media relations in the event of a crisis at the hotel. Prepare and keep crisis plan current.
  • Become an advocate of the company by nurturing relationships with key influencers in the community and work with local PR efforts to maximize reach
  • Develop monthly reports in a timely efficient manner
  • Regular attendance in conformance with standards
  • May be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs
  • Required to attend all training sessions and meetings

Supportive Functions and Responsibilities

  • Work with marketing on partnerships with a “newsworthy” focus and which fall under hotel’s positioning and brand strategy
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Minimum of six plus years in public relations with a lifestyle or hospitality brand or a PR agency
  • Self-starter with strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Creativity!

  • Must be able to meet the demands of client events to include presence at numerous food and beverage functions taking place throughout the day

Execute the social strategy of CELSIUS’s paid marketing campaigns on a variety of platforms including, but not limited to: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Snapchat etc. Ensure all campaigns are on- budget and relevant KPI’s are achieved or exceeded.

Work directly with Marketing Media Manager to ensure expectations are set prior to campaign execution and deliver accurate mid-flight reporting when necessary.

Willingness to learn and utilize paid media management platforms as needed to further leverage

CELSIUS Brand via paid media. Research and identify new platforms, better strategies, and new

opportunities to further increase awareness and competitiveness of the CELSIUS Brand via paid social media, and/or other digital paid media platforms.

Keen analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting abilities. Ability to pivot quickly in a fast-paced environment with ever-changing priorities.

Social Media Campaigns (Instagram / Facebook / TikTok / Snapchat / Podcast)

• Execute paid social campaigns across necessary platforms to reach targeted audiences

• Work directly with Marketing Media Manager to execute full funnel paid social media campaign strategies

• Perform A/B testing on ad creative components & optimize based on performance

• Stay up to date on new features, trends, and functionality improvements on all social media and

digital paid media platforms

• Assist social and influencer teams with paid social campaign support when needed

• Manage day-to-day aspects of paid social campaigns (budgets, pacing, targeting adjustments,

etc.)

• Troubleshoot campaign setup errors and ad rejections to ensure campaigns launch and run as

needed

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Execute Accurate and Unified Performance Reporting Solutions for All Paid Media Platforms.

• Generate Campaign Recaps, Insights, Analytics and Reporting (Analyze Campaigns, Optimize,

Advise and Brief Outcomes to Leadership and Cross Functional Teams).

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of paid social experience (Facebook, IG, TikTok, Snapchat, etc.)

• Meta Business Manager and Ads Manager

• Self starter, organized, hands on

• Experience driving revenue on ecommerce campaigns

• Able to write copy basic headlines/sub headline
