Casting Call: Non-Union Commercial – Financial Service
Job Details: Kathleen Mayrs Casting is seeking talented individuals for an upcoming non-union commercial promoting a reputable Financial Service. The commercial will have a global online and print presence, showcasing diverse cultures and celebrations.
Job Responsibilities: Selected individuals will portray characters celebrating critical cultural festivals and observances. The commercial aims to authentically represent the Diwali celebration in the Punjabi state of India and the Ramadan observance in Morocco. Actors will participate in a lively and heartwarming portrayal of these cultural moments.
Requirements: We are looking for the following roles:
- Adults (45-70 years old) from the Punjabi state in India who celebrate Diwali. Individuals from other regions of India are also welcome to audition but must specify their part.
- A 25-35 year old Female from the Punjabi state in India who celebrates Diwali.
- Adults (45-70 years old) from Morocco who observe Ramadan.
- A 20-30 year old Male from Morocco who observes Ramadan.
The director is particularly interested in authentic individuals who embody cultural celebrations.
Compensation: All selected talent will be compensated for their participation. Rates will be discussed during the casting process.
Audition Details: Auditions will be held in Vancouver on Thursday, August 24th, 2023. Callbacks will take place on August 29th and August 30th. Each audition and callback session is estimated to take approximately 30 minutes if requested.
Wardrobe Fitting: Selected individuals will undergo a wardrobe fitting on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.
Filming Dates: The commercial will be shot in Vancouver, and filming will occur between September 13th and September 15th. All selected talent must be available for the entire duration of these dates.

The production is seeking adults with a natural on-camera presence to appear in commercial scenes over two filming days. Talent must be available for the full schedule and able to self-drive to the filming location.

- Follow direction from the production team.
- Maintain continuity throughout filming.
- Be available for both scheduled production days.

Requirements

- Valid government-issued ID required on set.
- Must be available for both filming days.
- Must be able to self-drive to Pickering.

Compensation
- $300 for up to 12 hours.
- One-hour meal break.
- Overtime paid if applicable.
- Less 15% commission.
