Job Description

An independent short film titled The Ink Is Mine is casting actors in Sydney. The film explores themes of creativity, memory, and trauma in a surreal psychological narrative. In isolation, a writer slips into dreamlike visions where reality dissolves and her creativity collides with past trauma.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform assigned character roles with emotional depth and authenticity.

  • Collaborate with the director and production team to bring the story to life.

  • Participate in rehearsals and be available during the scheduled filming period.

  • Contribute to a professional and supportive working environment on set.

Requirements

  • Male Actor (20s–30s): Must portray a complex supporting role in a surreal setting.

  • Senior Male Actor (55+): Capable of portraying an authoritative yet haunting presence.

  • Senior Female Actor (55+): Able to convey layered emotions in a dreamlike narrative.

  • Prior acting experience in film or theater preferred but not required.

  • Must provide a headshot, showreel, and confirm availability during the filming period.

Compensation Details

  • Unpaid (Independent low-budget production).

  • Catered meals provided on set.

  • Screen credit.

  • Access to footage for showreel purposes.
