A feature film production is casting background actors to portray audience members and spectators in a high-energy scene filming in Gainesville, Florida. The story explores vibrant social environments and cultural influences inspired by Caribbean communities. Casting directors are seeking diverse individuals to help create an authentic crowd atmosphere for a competition-style scene. A limited number of additional roles for individuals with diving or free-diving experience may also be considered.

Job Responsibilities

• Portray spectators or audience members during a competition scene
• React naturally and help create an energetic crowd atmosphere
• Follow direction from the film’s production team during filming
• Maintain continuity and professionalism while on set
• Collaborate with other background actors to create realistic crowd scenes

Requirements

• Adults ages 18 and older
• Open to all ethnicities and backgrounds
• Caribbean, Bahamian, or Cuban backgrounds encouraged
• Comfortable appearing as part of a large audience scene
• Diving or free-diving experience is a plus for select roles
• Reliable and able to follow on-set instructions

Compensation

• $224 for 12 hours of work
• Paid background acting opportunity in a feature film
