Job Description:
We are casting background actors for the documentary film That They May Become One. This project involves recreating scenes from the early 1900s, and we are looking for actors who can authentically portray the time period. Roles include monastery visitors, church singers, and congregants, each requiring period-appropriate looks.

Roles Available:

  1. Monastery Visitor
    • Age: 20s-40s, white male.
    • Setting: Early 1900s church, visitor attending while the Pope reads a letter.
    • Requirements: Must be able to maintain a period-appropriate hairstyle and hair color (no visible tattoos).
  2. Azusa Street Singers
    • Age: 20s-50s, black male or female.
    • Setting: Early 1900s church singers in the Azusa Street congregation.
    • Requirements: Must be able to maintain a period-appropriate hairstyle and hair color (no visible tattoos).
  3. Male Stones Folly Congregants
    • Age: 20s-60s, white male.
    • Setting: Early 1900s church members witnessing a religious movement.
    • Requirements: Must have a period-appropriate hairstyle and hair color (no visible tattoos).

Job Responsibilities:

  • Portray historical characters in scenes set in the early 1900s.
  • Follow direction from the production team to accurately capture the historical setting.
  • Arrive on set prepared to adhere to the guidelines for period-appropriate appearances.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to work as a local hire in the Mobile, AL area.
  • Must fit the role description, including hair and appearance requirements.
  • No visible tattoos for any of the roles.
  • Must be able to portray the character authentically, based on the setting and time period.

Compensation:

  • $50 for 6 hours of work.
  • Meals provided on set.
