• Emily / First Date: Female, late 20s to 30s, Caucasian or lighter-skinned, expressive, and dressed for a first date.
• Must be available for a half-day shoot anticipated in mid-November.

Intense Action Scene Training Workshop – Firearms and Western Action

Job Description

An intense action scene training workshop in Charlottesville, Virginia, is seeking performers interested in developing practical action skills for film and television. Participants will train in staged shootout scenes featuring firearms, Western action, military-style scenarios, and dramatic character work. The workshop includes instruction, rehearsals, wardrobe, weapons, ammunition, equipment, horses when applicable, and professionally filmed scenes that participants can use for their acting reels.

Job Responsibilities

• Participate in rehearsed and professionally filmed action scenes
• Perform staged shootout sequences using provided firearms and equipment
• Follow all firearms safety procedures and instructor directions
• Perform scripted character interactions, movement, and action choreography
• Participate in scenarios inspired by historical and Western settings, including frontier, Civil War, Western shootout, and modern warfare scenes
• Perform physical action that may include running, jumping, falling, taking cover, kneeling, and advancing through staged combat scenes
• Work collaboratively with other performers during approximately 30 minutes of instruction, wardrobe, firearms preparation, and rehearsal
• Participate in approximately one hour of filming with multiple takes

Requirements

• Must complete a basic firearms safety course or have relevant firearms instructor, military, or law enforcement experience
• Must be in good physical condition and comfortable performing physically demanding action sequences
• Must be able to follow strict safety instructions while working with firearms
• Participants using horses must have basic to advanced equestrian training
• Talent with relevant acting, action, firearms, or horseback riding experience is encouraged
• Must be able to work in Charlottesville, Virginia

Compensation

• $100 deposit to reserve a workshop spot
• $400 per scene plus ammunition costs of approximately $20–$50
• Additional $20 for a second camera
• Additional $50 for drone footage
