An open-air adaptation of Death of a Salesman is now casting the role of Happy Loman, the younger son whose cheerful façade masks inner emptiness. This character offers a compelling opportunity for actors to explore the tension between charm and insecurity in a performance that balances subtlety with emotional complexity.
Job Responsibilities
• Portray Happy Loman with a charismatic yet emotionally conflicted presence
• Engage with an ensemble cast in a collaborative and emotionally rich process
• Participate in all scheduled rehearsals, tech week, and live evening performances
• Contribute to a bold and immersive theatrical experience in an outdoor venue
Requirements
• Experience with layered or psychologically complex characters
• Ability to express duality—confidence on the outside, vulnerability within
• Comfortable with performing in outdoor spaces during evening hours
• Available for rehearsals on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays (starting early July)
• Committed to tech week (August 5–11) and performances (August 12–14 evenings)
Compensation

Requirements
- Non-union actors only
- Male and female actors, ages 28–40
- Strong acting ability with emotional range
- Ability to portray themes of vulnerability, conflict, and transformation
- Comfortable performing emotionally intense scenes
- Must prepare a 1–2 minute dramatic monologue for auditions
- Previous acting experience is preferred but not required
