Job Description
A feature film set in present-day Chicago is seeking families from the Thalberg, St. Clements RM, and surrounding areas to work as paid background performers for a beach day scene. Families of all ages and ethnicities are welcome, and no previous acting or background experience is required. Selected families will work for one production day and help create a natural, authentic family atmosphere on camera.
Job Responsibilities
- Appear as a family in a beach day scene for a feature film.
- Perform natural family activities and background actions on camera.
- Follow blocking and instructions from the production team.
- Maintain continuity during multiple takes.
- Work cooperatively with cast, crew, and other background performers.
Requirements
- Families of any age combination are welcome.

- Young Man: Male, any ethnicity, ages 18–25. Appears in a car and interacts with Gavin and his children.
- Biker Guy 1 & Biker Guy 2: Male, any ethnicity, ages 30s–50s. Physically imposing characters who appear as Hal’s clients.
- Cook: Any gender, any ethnicity, ages 30s–50s. Diner kitchen staff with one line.
- Server: Any gender, any ethnicity, ages 20s–40s. Diner server appearing in several moments.
- Jenna: Female, any ethnicity, 20s–30s. A student in Gavin’s acting class.
- Stage Hand(s): Any gender, any ethnicity, ages 20s–40s. Theatre crew.
- Camera Operator: Any gender, any ethnicity, 20s. Appears during a casting-room scene with no dialogue.
- Student: Any gender, any ethnicity, ages 20s–40s. Appears as a student attending evening acting classes.
