Roles:

1. Young Brennan:

   • Description: We’re looking for a male child actor who possesses confidence and a smiley demeanor. The role requires someone who is deaf or hard of hearing with some knowledge of sign language.
   • Ethnicity: White
   • Age: Playing age of 10-12 years old.

2. Young Ray:

   • Description: This role demands a male child actor who can portray a character that is quiet yet self-assured. The actor must be deaf or hard of hearing with some familiarity with sign language.
   • Ethnicity: Middle Eastern heritage
   • Age: Playing age of 10-12 years old.

3. Young Miri:

   • Description: Seeking a female child actor who is energetic and bubbly. The actor must be deaf or hard of hearing and should be comfortable using some sign language.
   • Ethnicity: White
   • Age: Playing age of 8-12 years old.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare for and attend all rehearsals and filming days.
• Learn and deliver lines as directed.
• Communicate using sign language, as required for the role.
• Collaborate with the production team and other actors to bring the character to life.
• Maintain a professional demeanor on set.

Requirements:

• Must be deaf or hard of hearing.
• Some knowledge of sign language is necessary.
• Should have a playing age between 8-12 years, depending on the role.
• Must be based in the UK and have good availability from start May – August 2024.
• Must be a child actor; parental/guardian consent and supervision required.

Compensation: Details of compensation are not provided in the casting call and will be discussed with successful applicants. It is expected to be in line with industry standards for child actors.

Casting Call: Actors for BBC TV Series Set in Liverpool

Job Description: Harkin & Toth Casting is seeking native Liverpudlians to play various roles in an upcoming television series produced by Left Bank Pictures for the BBC. The series is set in Liverpool and we are looking for individuals who can bring authenticity and local flavor to the project.

Job Responsibilities:

• Portray assigned characters in a convincing manner while adhering to the director’s vision.
• Participate in rehearsals as required by the production team.
• Collaborate with other cast members and crew to ensure a cohesive performance.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism on set at all times.

Requirements:

• Must be female or male identifying, willing to play characters of any age 14+.
• Open to all ethnicities.
• Must possess a Liverpudlian accent.
• Applicants must be based in Liverpool/UK and have good availability between April – August 2024.
• No professional acting experience is necessary.
• Those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
• Must be able to attend open casting days or, if unable, follow the instructions to be considered via email submission.

CASTING CALL- TV SERIES

We are searching for deaf actors, hearing actors with sign language fluency & coda (children of deaf adults) actors for a number of paid roles in an upcoming network series shooting in South Yorkshire.

Brennan: deaf man. Playing age 30-65 years. Bsl/sse. Any region.

Michael: Young deaf man. Playing age 15-25 years. Bsl/sse/oral, Any region.

Naomi: deaf woman. Playing age 25-45 years. Bsl/sse/oral. Any region.

Tasha: Young deaf woman. Playing age 15-25 years. Bsl/sse/oral Any region.

Interpreters & codas (children of deaf adults): any gender. Any age. Must have fluency in bsl and spoken english. Experience of professional sign language interpreting is desirable but not essential. Any region.

Applicants must be based in the UK and be available from start February- end May 2024
