Job Description
A feature film is seeking real salsa dancers to appear in paid background roles for a high-energy dance sequence. This is a great opportunity for trained dancers who can perform authentic salsa on camera, take direction quickly, and keep strong rhythm and continuity through multiple takes. Casting is open to SAG-AFTRA and non-union talent, and performers must be 18+ and local to the NYC/NJ area. A wardrobe fitting will take place prior to filming, and selected dancers should be comfortable working in an interior daytime shoot environment.

Here Comes the Flood is currently in production in New Jersey and features a star-studded lineup led by Denzel Washington, Robert Pattinson, and Daisy Edgar-Jones, with Danai Gurira and Sean Harris also among the announced cast. The film is directed by Academy Award nominee Fernando Meirelles and written by Simon Kinberg. The story is an unconventional heist thriller centered on a bank guard, a teller, and a master thief locked in a deadly game of cons and double-crosses.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform real salsa dancing on camera in a featured background environment

  • Maintain energy and performance consistency during repeated filming

  • Attend a wardrobe fitting and keep sizing/measurements consistent for costuming

Requirements

  • Comfortable with a professional film set and taking direction quickly

Compensation

  • SAG background rate: $234 for 8 hours
