Job Description

A commercial production in Hamilton, Ontario is seeking an experienced Teppanyaki or Hibachi Chef for a paid filming opportunity. Talent should be skilled in performing entertaining cooking tricks such as spatula spinning, food tossing, and other live hibachi-style techniques. Applicants must have access to their own cooking tools, with a rental fee provided by production. This role is ideal for chefs with a strong on-camera presence and social media or video content showcasing their culinary skills.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform authentic teppanyaki and hibachi cooking techniques on camera
• Demonstrate cooking tricks and knife or spatula skills during filming
• Follow production direction while maintaining food preparation standards
• Bring and use personal cooking tools during the shoot
• Collaborate with the production team throughout filming

Requirements

• White male, ages 25–50
• Experienced Teppanyaki or Hibachi Chef
• Must be proficient in cooking tricks such as spinning spatulas and tossing food
• Must have personal cooking tools available for use
• Able to provide video examples of cooking skills from social media or online platforms
• Must be available to work in Hamilton, Ontario

Compensation

• $379.25 minimum rate
• Additional $50 tool rental fee
• Overtime paid at $71.25 per hour after 8 hours
• Professional commercial production experience
