Casting Call: Unhoused People for Upcoming Film Production
Job Description: We are currently seeking individuals of all ethnic backgrounds, ranging in age from their 20s to their 70s, to portray unhoused characters in an upcoming film. This role is open to both males and females. Candidates who are missing one or more teeth and are comfortable displaying this on camera are encouraged to indicate this in their application.
Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in a wardrobe fitting scheduled for Friday, April 12th, which is expected to take approximately two hours.
- Be available and commit to filming dates on Tuesday, April 16th (filming inside a hospital setting), and on Thursday and Friday, April 18th and 19th (filming outside).
- Follow directions from the director and crew to accurately portray the character within the film’s context.
- Cooperate with the makeup, wardrobe, and art departments to ensure the authentic appearance of an unhoused individual.
Requirements:
- Ages 20s to 70s, open to all genders and ethnicities.
- Must be comfortable being portrayed as unhoused on camera.
- Individuals with missing teeth who are willing to show this for the role should note this in their application.
- Full availability for the wardrobe fitting on April 12th and for all filming dates (April 16th, 18th, and 19th) is mandatory.
- Previous acting experience is not required, but professionalism and the ability to take direction well are essential.
- Must be able to transport oneself to and from the wardrobe fitting and filming locations.
Compensation Details:
- This role is paid. Specific compensation details will be provided upon application acceptance.
- Compensation includes time spent at the wardrobe fitting as well as all filming days.
- Any necessary makeup or wardrobe specific to the role will be provided by the production.
