Here’s what you’ll do:
- Research and prepare for upcoming productions identifying time demands and necessary equipment. Identify, pack and bring necessary gear for shoot locations.
- Operate video and audio recording equipment; create video shoots that are well composed, properly exposed, clean and in focus; edit together video from shoots and additional sources into creative and unique video packages; ensure audio is clear and level; mix down audio channels to follow acceptable broadcast standards.
- Produce content (video and images) for social media posts, both paid and organic.
- Maintain, organize, and recommend repairs for production equipment, studio space, and recording booth.
- Create and assist Account Managers with estimates for production work for existing and prospective clients.
- Update key staff, including Production Manager, Account Manager, Creative Director, and clients regularly on the status of current and upcoming projects.
- Upload, maintain, organize and backup files as needed on the shared computer server.
- Properly log and document daily production activities to ensure projects are completed timely and within the allocated budget.
- Deliver finished creative assets, per traffic instructions.
- Properly complete and file co-op documentation, release documentation and any additional legal documents.
- Stay up to date on the latest in production trends and equipment; may recommend to management the usage and integration of new technology / equipment based on trends and production needs.
- Assist lead producer on location or in studio during production.
- Other duties as assigned.
Here’s what we’d like for you to have:
Bachelors’ degree with minimum of 2 years of related experience preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience; experience working with Adobe creative suite including Premier, After Effects, Photoshop and Audition; working knowledge of Element 3D and Illustrator a plus; experience with social network platforms including YouTube and Facebook.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Assistant Videographer/Editor position requires skills in a high-volume production environment specializing in the final storytelling of a project. This position is primarily responsible for assisting in the filming and editing process for company video projects. This position requires a diverse knowledge of industry standard types of cameras and production equipment along with basic Avid editing skills. They will work closely with the Producers, Videographers and Editors on staff to ensure projects are completed on time and with the highest technical and aesthetic standards. - Support production staff with variety of projects using production gear including various models of cameras, lenses, tripods, and other gear related to shooting.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Degree Required: Minimum college or trade school experience in production or similar field..
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of practical field experience working in multiple aspects of film and video production.
- Color grading at intermediate level.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
- Thorough understanding of fishing, hunting, and other outdoor skills as required to best work with production team in outdoor recreation company.
- Strong work ethic. Outgoing personality with ability to interact within group of creative individuals in a dynamic and constantly changing environment. Willingness to react with short notice to changes in daily routine.
- Willing to travel as required – often locations require extensive driving and multiple night stays with early and late hours.
- Strong communication skills – able to understand direction and make themselves understood when communicating objectives for accomplishing story lines or goals of a production.
- Thorough knowledge of Avid non-linear editing systems, specifically the Avid Media Composer or similar.
- Strong working knowledge of various codecs, containers and file types used in today’s media environment.
- Able to work within a team environment including in the field or studio and in the post process, editing and finishing.
- Able to lift and carry heavy equipment in variety of terrain and conditions from very hot to very cold.
- Good driving record, able to secure Missouri Operator’s License Class E.
- Good organizational skills: able to keep multiple projects balanced at any one time
- Strong video resume required. This resume should demonstrate samples from all of the areas mentioned above.
