Job Description:
We are seeking an actor to portray Telly Vision, an old-school TV cameraman, in an internal video for a hotel brand. Telly is a seasoned professional who misses the “good ol’ days” of television but is willing to go along with the crazy ideas of his ambitious reporter colleague, Nita, in order to keep his job.
Character Background:
Telly is a cameraman who has seen the evolution of television and longs for the past. Though he’s a bit jaded by the changes in the industry, he remains practical and willing to do whatever it takes to stay relevant, even if it means supporting Nita’s sometimes-questionable tactics.
Job Responsibilities:
- Portray Telly’s nostalgia and seasoned approach to his job, alongside a willingness to adapt to his reporter’s ambitious demands.
- Collaborate with the production team to capture the dynamic between Telly and Nita in both scripted dialogue and situational scenes.
- Be available for both half-day and full-day shoots as required by the production schedule.
Requirements:
- Gender: Male
- Age: 40-50
- Ethnicity: Open (diversity encouraged)
- Ability to convey an old-school, experienced TV cameraman who’s a bit disillusioned but pragmatic.
- Self-Tape Submission Required: Please submit a self-tape audition showcasing your ability to portray Telly’s character traits and interactions with other cast members.
Compensation:
- Rate: $500 for a half-day shoot (4:30 PM – 9:30 PM)
- Rate: $750 for a full-day shoot (9 AM – 5 PM)
