Job Description: HumanKind is committed to fostering an inclusive environment in the performing arts. As part of our efforts, we are seeking a qualified American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter to assist in our upcoming audition. This role is critical in ensuring effective communication and full participation of all candidates.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and clear ASL interpretation for the duration of the audition.
- Work closely with the audition team to understand the specific needs and context of the audition.
- Ensure a comfortable and inclusive atmosphere for all participants.
- Be available for a brief pre-audition meeting to discuss specific requirements.
Requirements:
- Certified in American Sign Language interpretation.
- Proven experience in ASL interpretation, preferably in performing arts or similar settings.
- Ability to interpret in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Punctual and professional demeanor.
- Must be available on Monday, December 18th, and able to be present in the Faneuil Hall area by 3:15 PM.
Compensation:
- $60 per hour for a 2-hour minimum commitment ($120 total).
- Payment will be made immediately upon completion of the audition.
