Shapiro Auctions, a boutique auction house focusing on International and Russian fine and decorative art, seeks a self-motivated intern for minimum period of three months. The position offers a flexible schedule, but the successful candidate should be able to commit 8 hours a day, with a minimum of 2 days a (work) week . We are seeking a candidate that will primarily focus on assisting the photography department with editing via Photoshop and Lightroom, but who is flexible and willing to assist other departments as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
-study in one of the following (or closely related) areas: Photography or Graphic Design
-must be detail-oriented
-knowledge or interest in fine and decorative arts
-demonstrated proficiency in Photoshop and Lightroom
-ability to thrive in a fast-paced, tight-knit environment
-ability to multi-task and deal with shifting priorities
-fluency in Russian or Mandarin highly desirable, but not necessary.

-a sense of humor
