Leading Clean Beauty Brand seeking a Sr. Art Director/Creative Director
The Opportunity:
We’re in need of a full-time, Senior Art Director, or Creative Director to spearhead the visual direction of our brand and oversee day-to-day creative endeavors.
- The high-level strategic planning and meticulous, tactical execution. We seek a self-motivated creative powerhouse with acute attention to detail, a background in beauty, and superb communication skills, who thrives in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
- The Art Director / Senior Art Director / Creative Director will take charge of the brand’s visual representation across all platforms, overseeing and executing its visual identity across various channels. Responsibilities encompass but are not limited to:
- Strategizing, overseeing, and executing creative visuals for digital marketing/website, emails and SMS, print, social media, events, marketing collateral, advertisements, and more.
- Directing photoshoots and video shoots, while also providing input on ad-hoc social media shoots, overseeing and executing all visual assets for the brand.
- Maintaining and updating brand guidelines as needed, ensuring adherence to these guidelines across all assets.
- Overseeing and executing the design of product packaging + unit cartons, shipping supplies, events, brand partnerships and activations, and other marketing collateral.
- The ideal candidate will adeptly capture the brand’s elevated yet playful aesthetic across diverse visual channels, showcasing creativity, collaboration, solution-driven mindset, efficiency, flexibility, and meticulous attention to detail amidst our multifaceted projects. The successful candidate must thrive under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects concurrently. This role reports to the Sr. Director of Marketing, collaborates closely with leaders across departments, and oversees the work of various vendors, contractors, and in-house resources.
- Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 5+ years of design experience at an agency and/or brand/retail company in the beauty category
- Experience in beauty, fashion, and/or lifestyle brands preferred; experience in both DTC and retail preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, InDesign, After Effects, and Premiere)
- Strong portfolio showcasing the ability to ideate with exceptional design quality across a wide array of digital/social/traditional channels
- Photography and/or videography skills preferred
- B.A. in Graphic Design or Fine Arts preferred
Skill Sets
- A strong grasp of design principles and current design trends
- Keen eye for typography, visual hierarchy, and composition
- Ability to infuse creativity into projects while adhering to brand identity guidelines and considering KPIs such as conversion
- Excellent organizational skills; ability to collaborate effectively and work autonomously
