We are looking for an Art Director Fashion Temp to Perm for a top fashion company in New York, NY!
The Art Director is a highly creative design leader with a solid understanding and hands-on ability to develop thoughtful, visual design solutions across print, digital, and social platforms.
The Art Director will work independently while also managing others to deliver across multiple touchpoints in design deliverables. They will be proactive and obsessed with taking on challenges and providing a fresh perspective in the design itself.
Responsibilities:
- Create and collaborate with the team to develop on-brand and compelling assets that fulfill the marketing experience objectives
- Work with and manage the team, while utilizing own skills, design ability, and creativity to help create thoughtful, trend-forward design results
CREATIVE + INDEPENDENT THINKING
- Overseeing, developing, and designing marketing materials for seasonal product launches, promotions, collaborations, and partnerships (Emails, Paid social, Digital, Ecommerce for Domestic and International)
- Expand and refine visual identities of the brand experience while maintaining the core identity
TEAMWORK + LEADERSHIP + STRATEGY
- Mentor designers: oversee and provide feedback on their work, share experiences, and provide resources to coach their development and help achieve their career goals
- Lead and present weekly digital marketing creative assets to cross-functional teams
- Work closely with cross-functional channel leads to vet and digest design briefs to execute in a timely fashion
- Understand that business and creativity affect one another: take monthly analytical data collected from marketing to consider and apply in future projects
LEARNING + STRUCTURE
- Assist the Senior Creative Director with decks, internal presentations, and pitches
- Create and establish efficient workflows with the team for efficiency and effectiveness
- Be up to date with current trends and collect inspiration to share with the broader company team
Qualifications:
- Be an engaged contributor to a very creative, fast-paced work culture with an ability to work under tight deadlines
- Highly organized, an adept multitasker who can shift from task to task
- Foster an open environment that supports ideas and the brand
- Communicative and collaborative team player: Comfortable with consistent collaboration across departments and implementing feedback
- Excellent attention to detail
- Experienced in managing projects (self and team led)
- Knowledge of digital (paid social, eCommerce, organic social) and print platforms
- Well-versed utilization of Adobe Programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign)
- Knowledge of After Effects and Premiere is preferred
- Retouching knowledge is preferred
- 5-8 years direct design experience preferably within the fashion, beauty, luxury, or ad agency space
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (Graphic Design, Design, Fine arts or similar degree)
