Position Overview
Be a part of a nonprofit dedicated to transforming generations by promoting personal empowerment and economic self-sufficiency. In this role you will be responsible for the organization’s marketing and communications operational and strategic strategies while leading the marketing and communications team.Â
ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Responsible for all aspects of the marketing and communications strategy and activitiesÂ
- Manage internal staff and external contractors Â
- Manage promotional calendars, timelines, and all associated activities Â
- Create marketing materials to inform key internal and external stakeholdersÂ
- Build and maintain relationships with key journalists and media outlets for coverage considerationÂ
- Develop and maintain branding and identity across all materialsÂ
- Prepare detailed media activity reports to track all communications efforts on an ongoing basis
- Manage relevant web and social media channels to engage with the communityÂ
- Work with marketing specialists to create visual content to support communications effortsÂ
- Work across each department to generate new ideas and strategies to create engagementÂ
- Ensure that all written content is approved and ready for publicationÂ
- Execute crisis communications activities Â
- Distribute press releases to highlight key activities, events, and milestones to increase awarenessÂ
- Identify and media train staff to serve as spokespeople on behalf of the organizationÂ
- Manage all internal communications effortsÂ
- Effectively develop and manage the overall marketing budgetÂ

QualificationsÂ
- 5+ years of progressive public relations, communications, and/or marketing experience
- Excellent communication and organizational skillsÂ
- Ability to build key media relationshipsÂ
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environmentÂ
- Excellent interpersonal skills across all levels of staffÂ
- Strong social media experience
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively  Â
- Excellent technological fluencyÂ
- Display the utmost level of integrity Â
- Excellent project and process management skillsÂ
- Results-driven and meet adversity with tenacityÂ

CompensationÂ
- Salary: $65,000-$80,000Â

Compensation Details:
- Ultra-low-budget rates in accordance with ULB guidelines. Specific rates will be provided upon offer.
