Morton Contemporary Gallery, one of Philadelphia’s most exciting contemporary art galleries, is looking for a skilled and experienced Associate Gallery Director to help oversee sales, client relations, digital marketing (instagram reels, photography, posts), and coordination of solo exhibitions. Minimally 3 years in luxury sales required (ideally within an art gallery), and preferred is a degree in fine art, art history, arts management, art administration, and/or design. We sell fine art paintings, photography, and sculpture. Candidate must be HIGHLY ORGANIZED and SELF-MOTIVATED.
To be successful in our fast paced art gallery, you must be hard working, dynamic, entrepreneurial, and an independent thinker with a passion for art and design, excellent customer service skills, and closing skills. Associate Director must proactively build and maintain client relationships, manage artistic inventory, website, solo exhibition annual calendar, exhibition opens, and gallery events. A track record of proven sales is necessary, along with two excellent professional references.
Salary is hourly plus commission. Work days full-time Wednesday through Sunday OR part-time Friday through Sunday (depending on if candidate wants full-time or part-time).
