What We Are Looking For
The Senior Producer will have the unique opportunity to work on the first-ever, audio-only singing competition series alongside a team of seasoned television and audio professionals. You’ll work closely with the Co-Executive Producer, Showrunner, and the Senior Supervising Producer to craft compelling storylines from initial interviews through episode scripting and assemblies.
The ideal candidate has an interest in reality programming, live performance, and narrative, non-fiction storytelling. They’re excited by innovative, audio formats, the creative problem-solving that may come with it, and excel in team and talent management. This position requires professional podcast experience.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Produce episodes from initial idea to final draft, building episode scripts and audio sessions, while maintaining season arc and consistency across the series
- Ensure seamless communication between internal and external production partners including contractors, AWM staff, and network executives throughout all stages of production
- Collaborate with Co-Executive Producer and Music Director to plan recording schedule including interviews, music sessions, and more; ensure appropriate recording set-up for quality tapings
- Manage assets and paperwork related to production, including scripts, timelines, and talent agreements; create production documents including call sheets, sides, etc.
- Prep podcast host and talent for recording sessions (song choices, challenge, recaps, etc) while demonstrating high level of professionalism in working with celebrity talent
- Lead contestant, host, and talent recording sessions with a deep understanding of remote audio technology and software
- Support on-site producers in capturing “day in the life” audio with contestants
- Source additional field tape, archival assets, and audio elements such as sound effects or music stems in partnership with post-production team
- Coordinate with Associate Producer and post-production teams to log tape and organize assets, as well as build assemblies and versions of episodes
- Manage rounds of edits and consolidate editorial and production feedback throughout all cycles of review
Qualifications & Skills
- 5+ years experience working in audio or podcast production or relevant media
- Previous experience with celebrity talent and/or host management, including writing for talent and leading voiceover recording sessions
- Ability to edit audio, assemble drafts and entire episodes in digital audio workstation and manage script edits through cycles of revision
- Proficient in professional DAWs (Pro Tools, Adobe Audition); familiarity with Descript is a plus, but not required
- Working knowledge of podcast and recording best practices, including appropriate software and gear, as well as how to “tech check” and quality control during tapings and post-production
- Exceptional ear for audio storytelling
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail; confident creating and maintaining workflow through folder structures, documents, spreadsheets, etc.
- Collaborates well with producers, talent, crew, and talent representatives at all levels, even while under pressure
- Excellent verbal and written communicator in a remote work environment
- Working knowledge of G-Suite, Slack, and Airtable
- Strong interest in sound design and/or music a plus

Job Type: Starting ASAP; Contract (6 months)
Pay Range: $2,000/week
Location: In response to COVID-19, this position is currently remote. Candidates based in NYC or LA preferred, but we are open to a remote situation for the right candidate.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Assistant Videographer/Editor position requires skills in a high-volume production environment specializing in the final storytelling of a project. This position is primarily responsible for assisting in the filming and editing process for company video projects. This position requires a diverse knowledge of industry standard types of cameras and production equipment along with basic Avid editing skills. They will work closely with the Producers, Videographers and Editors on staff to ensure projects are completed on time and with the highest technical and aesthetic standards. They are responsible for maintaining the company’s production assets and working with the department production calendar so that equipment is ready for each project.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Support production staff with variety of projects using production gear including various models of cameras, lenses, tripods, and other gear related to shooting.
- Work with Production team to build sets for production needs.
- Assist with general duties.
- Maintaining production equipment before and after projects.
- Coordinate the tracking of all production assets.
- Assist with research and ordering of equipment.
- Support with reporting and tracking maintenance and repairs of production equipment.
- Ingest media into company’s archiving system and prepare media for Editors.
- Log footage and edit basic to intermediate level projects.
- Operate additional cameras as needed for production needs including live events.
- ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Degree Required: Minimum college or trade school experience in production or similar field..
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of practical field experience working in multiple aspects of film and video production.
- Color grading at intermediate level.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
- Thorough understanding of fishing, hunting, and other outdoor skills as required to best work with production team in outdoor recreation company.
- Strong work ethic. Outgoing personality with ability to interact within group of creative individuals in a dynamic and constantly changing environment. Willingness to react with short notice to changes in daily routine.
- Willing to travel as required – often locations require extensive driving and multiple night stays with early and late hours.
- Strong communication skills – able to understand direction and make themselves understood when communicating objectives for accomplishing story lines or goals of a production.
- Thorough knowledge of Avid non-linear editing systems, specifically the Avid Media Composer or similar.
- Strong working knowledge of various codecs, containers and file types used in today’s media environment.
- Able to work within a team environment including in the field or studio and in the post process, editing and finishing.
- Able to lift and carry heavy equipment in variety of terrain and conditions from very hot to very cold.
- Good driving record, able to secure Missouri Operator’s License Class E.
- Good organizational skills: able to keep multiple projects balanced at any one time
- Strong video resume required. This resume should demonstrate samples from all of the areas mentioned above.
