Responsibilities
News 12 Westchester / Hudson Valley is looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking  Executive Producer to oversee our flagship evening newscast.  You will work together with the News Director, the Assistant News Director, and other News Gathering and News Production staffers to produce daily news programming and special coverage across platforms.  You will also collaborate with other managers across Altice News throughout the New York DMA.

You are passionate about news, a strong critical thinker, quick decision maker, skilled at copy editing and knowledgeable about video editing.  You have a multi-platform approach in newsgathering and production while embracing storytelling on linear, digital and social.   You also have a solid understanding of how to create compelling programming that drives ratings, promotes retention and customer engagement. You have a positive attitude and stay calm under pressure.Â
Responsibilities:
*Supervise the editorial quality of newscasts
*Strategize with anchors, reporters and digital producers on showcasing news content on social media
*Filter the best evening news content and hand off a suggested plan to the morning news team
*Conduct quarterly and annual performance reviews
*Fill-in produce when necessary
*Encourage collaboration among cross-functioning departments including but not limited to  News 12 networks, News 12 Digital, Marketing, Promotions and Social Media.
*Ensure all content meets News 12 Network standards for journalistic integrity and production quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a minimum 6 years of experience in news production, people management and operations at an entertainment, news or media company
- Experience in overseeing traditional and/or new media content and programming development with demonstrated expertise in building, maintaining and growing targeted niche markets
- Highly effective team leader with the ability to guide a team of content producers and collaborating with other News 12 channels
- Hands on experience and expertise in all phases of television production
- Exceptional writing and story development skills with the ability to coach and mentor staff
- Ability to manage several projects simultaneously and meet strict daily production deadlines
- Must be able to work weekends and nights during production windows with an ability to handle high volumes of complex projects and tasks
