Position Overview

The Associate Producer is critical in securing the best quality content possible and contributing to class creation throughout every stage of production. The AP works alongside the Content Team and teacher to develop the content they will lead for live classes, reviewing every class in real-time to thoroughly ensure safety, accuracy, and Glo’s best practices.

In post-production, this role is the gatekeeper between our production process and publishing content to the platform, reviewing each piece of content for appropriate leveling, tagging, sound, and display. As needed, this position will also support in-studio or on-location shoots alongside the Studio Team. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work directly with world-class instructors under a unique subscription offering that’s changing the landscape of health and wellness.

What You’ll Do

  • Livestream Teacher Support: Support teachers ahead of scheduled livestream classes in order to fulfill member needs; Serve as a content expert in order to provide feedback to teachers, communicating any therapeutic or quality concerns quickly to production and talent; Take notes while reviewing classes live in order to aid the Production Team in publishing classes on-demand within 24 business hours.
  • Content Development & Research: Maintain and uphold consistent QC standards across modality of expertise through all stages or production; Pitch content ideas supported with research in preparation for livestream class development; Develop content ideas based on research on general market trends, teacher interests, and insights provided from Glo’s Data team; Once content ideas are approved by the Content Team and teacher, work directly with the teacher to support his or her preparation; Research prospective teachers (as directed); Support the Customer Experience team to answer user questions and/or make changes to available classes.
  • Post-Production Quality Assurance: Review all video content by deadlines outlined by the Content Team before content is scheduled to be published; Maintain communication feedback loops with the Production Team on edit requests as needed; Ensure accurate class tagging and file management when preparing content to be published.

HERE’S THE RUNDOWN:

The Associate Producer & Editor is responsible for the strategy, creation and editing of audio and video content. This role reports directly to the Business Manager in office at the Century City studio. They will also work closely with other members of creative, marketing and production teams to transform ideas into long and short form video and audio content. The ideal candidate is experienced performing all video creation tasks including pre-production, lighting, sound, shooting, and editing.

HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE:

  • Brainstorming and contributing creative ideas for videos to elevate the brand and its message
  • Meeting with creative teams to accomplish their production objectives
  • Using artistic judgement to select appropriate equipment, lighting, angles and backgrounds
  • Assisting with staging, set preparation, setting up and operating cameras and other equipment
  • Providing on-set assistance to the Production Manager related to technical and production needs
  • Checking taped material to ensure that it has been captured properly
  • Editing videos and inserting text and graphics according to the theme of the video
  • Selecting music and editing based on transitions
  • Maintaining proper calibration of all equipment and performing regular and preventative maintenance
  • Regularly film all video and audio content
  • Manage the media for the archive and any future tapings, audio and video
  • Edit all full shows, audio and video, as well as social/promo clips
  • Edit select YouTube mashups as well as shorter one-off social videos (i.e. TikToks)
  • Attend regularly scheduled weekly meetings
  • Brainstorm potential podcast guests and potential topics for social videos
  • Be available at short notice, including occasional weekends, as projects arise
  • Film and edit audio and video for products and services as assigned other duties as assigned

YOUR ABILITIES AND EXPERTISE:

  • At least 3 years of experience in video and/or media production
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in digital media, cinematography, film studies or related field
  • Experience in content creation with images, audio and video content for social media including viral short form video content for social media
  • Experience in the Adobe Creative Suite including Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects, etc.
  • Proven work experience editing extensive video and audio content with a strong portfolio
  • Proven work experience working closely with talent (understanding the discretion needed and the processes for interacting with talent)
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment on a wide variety of projects

Description

The LA Clippers are looking for an upbeat and hardworking Video Production Intern to support our in-house content team. Intern will assist the Digital Media Production team in the creation of all video content for all LA Clippers digital properties.

Primary responsibilities will include, but not limited to supporting the production team during all phases of video and audio production, including media management, camera operation, prepping of lights and audio equipment, basic editing, gathering, and handling content for videos, equipment maintenance and organization, and more. A strong understanding of content strategy and how it applies to digital marketing is highly preferred.

This is a paid part-time position based out of our DTLA office. We are looking for someone local to LA and who can commit to an average of 30 hours per week from Jan – Aug 2022. Intern will work all home games (approximate hours are 2pm – 12am on game days).
