The Opportunity

The Communications Director is a true PR expert & inspiration to the account team. With a minimum of 8-10 years’ experience, this role is instrumental in supporting the Managing Director in overseeing the client portfolio, strategy and financial insight and capacity, as well as acting as an ambassador to elevate SEEN in the US market, embodying the agency’s values on daily basis. They are a true leader who thrives to achieve brilliant results through their team and foster their growth. The Communications Director is a strategic pillar as well as a people person.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Client Service:

  • Senior leader for account portfolio with strong client relations and maintained excellence in client counsel at all times
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of client’s business in order to deliver strategic and creative campaigns against briefs
  • Proactively pitch new ideas to the client – ensure concepts are aligned with overall business/PR objectives and strategy
  • Develop and execute engaging campaign activity relevant to the clients brief and key objectives, ensuring you are thinking outside of the box and demonstrating the SEEN way of thought leadership
  • Drive new media angles and proactively create new ideas, and feature placement opportunities for your clients beyond the day-to-day coverage asks
  • Lead in the management and handling of potential issues/crisis situations, ensuring all communication is delivered in a calm and professional manner
  • Be aware of potential issues facing your clients and offer proactive appropriate solutions
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, developments and opportunities and demonstrate new ideas and proactive ways of thinking to your clients and team

Management:

  • Inspiring and motivating team manager and Senior team peer for wider agency
  • Full responsibility of your team’s work, ensuring all work is to a SEEN Group standard, delivered on time and showcases excellence
  • Ensure team is monitoring media daily, including newspapers, magazines, broadcast, online & social channels for client opportunities and to keep abreast of competitor news – provide added value insight and counsel to clients
  • Oversee regular internal meetings across all clients – with team roles and responsibilities established on a weekly basis
  • Oversee the delivery of weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual reports being managed by Communications Manager/day-to-day retainer lead – ensure strong quality, competitive insights, and timely delivery for appropriate sign off prior to going to client
  • Manage appraisals for direct reports – create KPIs and objectives during review processes

Specialist Skill Set:

  • A strategic and creative thinker across written and verbal work, ensuring exceptional execution and delivery
  • Excellent media landscape awareness (in and outside of the industry) to support senior level media pitching, to secure BIC feature placements
  • Excellent influencer landscape awareness to support earned and paid influencer strategies on behalf of clients, including ability to manage complex partnerships and negotiate contracts and SOW
  • Excellent industry (beauty and wellbeing) awareness to support in role specialism and expertise across your portfolio and cross agency
  • Exceptional industry relationships (including media, influencers, KOLs, artists & experts and retailers), taking a proactive approach to building new relationships for the benefit of in role specialism

Business Skill Set:

  • Commercial accountability for client portfolio and financial growth opportunities, through SEEN Group network and services
  • Identify incremental opportunities to organically grow existing client business by proactively pitching more PR or SEEN Group integrated ideas
  • Demonstrate understanding of financial health of accounts and billing, as well as ownership of PL alongside Managing Director.
  • Manage team capacity planning and resource allocation
  • Demonstrate the ability to develop credentials and write new business proposals
  • Work on new business opportunities from research, development, and to pitch, giving strategic insight and counsel
  • Active role in recruitment of talent to US team; tapping network of contacts to ensure SEEN has strong pool of diverse candidates for any open roles
  • Senior business gravitas demonstrated to your peers and wider agency

Senior Communications & VIP Manager

Role Overview:

The Senior Communications & VIP Manager is the pillar and driver of the account team – this role with 6-8 years’ of experience is instrumental in providing exceptional client council and is responsible for ensuring best in class plans and executions for their accounts. They provide insight and strategy for their clients and showcases deep knowledge of the media and influencer landscape, as well as the “crowd to know” to get high profile, headline driving names to client events across SEEN. This role is a true support to the senior members of the team and cross agency, as well as being an inspiring leader to more junior members to foster their growth.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Client Service:

  • Day-to-day account lead with strong client relations, understanding of their brand and ethos, ensuring exceptional client counsel is delivered
  • Develop a deep understanding of client’s business in order to deliver strategic and creative campaigns against briefs, and foster strong relationship with client to build trust and SEEN loyalty
  • Lead client meetings alongside your team ensuring status updates, plans and proposals are delivered in a professional and knowledgeable manner
  • Take an active role in client account/project admin – contribution and quality control for junior team across all elements of client reporting and client administration
  • Ensure any client requirements or issues are dealt with accordingly, having a solution-driven approach to all communication and next steps
  • Manage the delivery of client reporting to ensure timely delivery for appropriate sign off and deadline management to key stakeholders

Management:

  • Act as positive role model for your direct team, peers and across wider business
  • Active junior team lead and team coach ensuring support in managing workload, R&R’s and prioritization
  • Active junior team role in press and influencer expertise, supporting the team with informed guidance of identification, pitching and seeding strategies
  • Mentoring the junior team to support them in their SEEN career developement and ensuring your team is offering effective client work, to meet client goals and deadlines
  • Manage appraisals for direct reports – create KPIs and objectives during review processes

Specialist Skill Set:

  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills showcasing strategic thinking and creative ideas that SEEN is known for
  • Exceptional industry relationships, showcasing media and influencer/talent strategy building skills.
  • Excellent pitching skills to convert high quality results and growth for clients
  • Consistent growth and maintainence of strong network and knowledge of press and influencer relationships, as well as high profile names in key US regional markets for VIP
  • Excellent understanding of social medial landscape, ensuring clients are provided with strategic recommendations that showcase a comprehensive understanding
  • Play a lead role in the planning and execution of influencer partnership management and celeb attendance specific to eventing/activations/experiential, inclusive of contract and SOW negotiations
  • You are the eyes and ears of industry (beauty and wellbeing) news, trends and insights to benefit client work and in-role specialism.
  • Oversee rising talent research and gifting to stylist/agents for to engage clientele
  • Identify and foster key relationships with VIPs, talent, agents and hospitality groups and venues to ensure agency is well informed on newest

Business Skill Set:

  • Responsible for account financial health, including budget tracking, expsenses, timely delivery of POs and strong internal relationships and WOW with SEEN’s finance team
  • Liaise with client on annual and campaign budgets; management of all cost estimates and approvals
  • Take an active role in new business involvement, inclusive of brainstorming and when appropriate taking part in the pitch team
  • Take an active role in brainstorming across the agency, showcasing your strategic and creative thinking that your peers can utilise with their client portfolio
  • Support in identifying and presenting opportunities to organically grow existing client business by proactively pitching SEEN Group integrated ideas and services
  • Demonstrate your ability to grow your client business and cross-sell SEEN Group, making your clients aware of full specialism and services
  • Assist in recruitment of talent to US team; tapping network of contacts to ensure SEEN has strong pool of diverse candidates for any open roles.

Creative Director / Senior Art Director (Part time 3 days a week)

The Opportunity

This role is at the heart of the SEEN Works division working closely with our Divisional Director, Associate Beauty Director and design team to lead creative direction across our brands. You will partner with our Clients and team to provide the best creative and strategic solutions across our roster of world class Beauty Brands to originate ideas so inspiring they elevate perceptions of Beauty.

Your role will be fully integrated working across all internal teams to lead the development and delivery of creative content and experiences across all channels.

This is an opportunity to work across some of the world’s strongest Beauty brands so you will need to be an ambitious and commercially minded Creative Director.

The work you do will place us ahead of our competition and encourage our internal teams and clients to boldly pursue innovative ideas that translate into outstanding creative and experiences consumers will remember.

The role

  • You will be working to set the creative vision and aesthetic agenda for our clients – both at a brand and campaign level.
  • You will work collaboratively to translate strategy and insight into stand out creative concepts which transcend multiple channels.
  • You will work across SEEN Group to deliver excellent creative solutions to meet client needs, in partnership with strategy, client services, production and other internal teams
  • You will work with our clients and wider SEEN Group teams to understand the real business problems to solve with creative and cut through solutions.
  • You will present and articulate visions, strategies and technologies to clients from marketing executives to Board level
  • You will establish your own relationships with key clients. Actively work to unlock briefs from new and existing clients
  • You will be responsible for developing creative solutions on communication, planning and pitches across brands and teams
  • You are always thinking ahead, aligning your creative vision to the structure, vision and future of the business
  • You will be responsible for design direction and lead vision / innovation workshop activities
  • You will be responsible for Inspiring and leading the creative vision across Direct Reports and all SEEN Group team.
  • You will be responsible for contributing to creative direction on new business pitches. Driving the process from start to finish, ensuring that we deliver first class creative work.
  • Being a leader and advocate of the group creative process – ensuring the process is used efficiently and improved where there are challenges.
  • To help grow the agency’s reputation and strive to develop work that wins awards and is stand out in Beauty.
  • Leading multiple projects from conception to completion in accordance with deadlines
  • Evaluating and, if necessary, altering, the content of projects before completion

  • Experience from within an integrated creative agency, ideally involved with Beauty accounts
