Position Overview:
The Booking Specialist is responsible for booking both corporate and private events at SAP Center at San Jose and Tech CU Arena. They will solicit new and potential business for groups ranging from 100 to 10,000. They will oversee the sales process from sale to services and continuing to foster the client relationships for future business. They will work in cooperation with the internal departments for each venue to ensure successful implementation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prospect new business via previous contracts, networking, trade publications, resource guides, and cold calls. Target the local hospitality industry – event planners, corporate planners, and direct corporate level decision makers to sell private events
- Research the market on potential new leads and develop tie-in opportunities within Sharks Sports & Entertainment to enhance value
- Enhance internal existing offerings to maximize the event and revenue.
- Show available spaces to prospective clients and actively sell venues
- Develop client relationships and enhance existing relationships to maintain renewal business.
- Work with creative services to create/develop and generate professional sales presentations by compiling necessary information such as research, data, photos, etc.
- Provide weekly reports on sales activity/expenses and results to track own performance as well as event performance
- Collaborate with cooperate partnerships to provide event opportunities to existing clientele
- All other duties assigned by the Senior Director of Booking & Events
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in corporate sales and marketing environment with evidence of solid business acumen and understanding of how to manage sales opportunities
- High level of integrity with professional, business-oriented demeanor a must
- Capable of developing a successful sales strategy and have a working knowledge of the industry and community
- Understand the market and have a pulse on industry opportunities
- Proven ability to initiate high-level contracts of prospective customer with strong persuasion and negotiation skills to close the sale
- Evidence of ability to establish and maintain effective business relationships
- Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with various levels of prospective clients and vendors
- Detail oriented with exceptional skills and the ability to manage multiple events and sales prospects
- Ability to identify issues, formulate solutions and alternatives and resolve the issue in a timely manner
- Ability to work well in a team environment and effectively across functional areas
- Proven track record of excellent guest service
- Self-motivated with excellent management and sales skills
- Computer proficient, including Microsoft Suite
- Experience working in sport and entertainment venues, conventions centers or hotels in hospitality sales capacity preferred

Position Overview
Reporting to the Senior Director, Premium Sales & Service, this position embraces all aspects of Team Teal’s principles. This position is responsible for selling new, long-term Premium Sales & Service products, with the flexibility to cross-sell Sharks Ticket Sales and Global Partnership inventory. The Premium Sales Manager will work diligently to assure revenue generation and growth and in line with Team Teal’s overall objectives.
Additionally, the key responsibilities of this position include reaching sales quotas, proactively prospecting and developing new business opportunities, hosting weekly meetings with prospects, managing a consistent pipeline of prospects, managing customer base and activities in CRM, and selling related products as requested.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Dedicated to prospect, present, and close Premium Sales products, with an emphasis on Suites, with the flexibility to sell Sharks Ticket Sales and Global Partnership assets.
- Prospecting potential clients via inside and outside sales strategies while developing, establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key contacts.
- Schedule weekly meetings and conduct presentations with prospective clients.
- Utilize networking skills, face-to-face presentations and cold-calling techniques to sell Premium Sales inventory.
- Entertain prospects at San Jose Sharks games and SAP Center events with the goal of closing Premium Sales products and services.
- Involvement in all sales activities, from lead generations through closing the sale.
- Manage pipeline and activities via CRM.
- Participate in non-game day sales events, offsite meetings, sales booths and other sales related initiatives.
- Achieve weekly, monthly and annual sales goals and objectives.
- Prepare and present consistent sales reports by maintaining timely and accurate records detailing sales pipeline progress, appointment recaps, prospecting activities and sales progress.
- Maintain a unified working relationship with Global Partnership and Sharks Ticket Sales & Service teams.
- Perform other tasks and projects as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university; at least 3 years of experience in a ticket sales or premium sales role with a track record of success.
- Superior customer service skills.
- Ability to demonstrate dynamic sales skills, with an emphasis on selling multiple product offerings and services.
- Positive and enthusiastic approach to customers and contacts so as to convey a positive image and ability to respond to client’s needs in a timely manner.
- Ability to effectively present sales material to prospects on an appointment.
- Cultivate relationships across departments and business functions in order to foster effective teamwork throughout the organization.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to maintain positive working relationships.
- Night and weekend work required, including working non-hockey related events and/or on holidays.
- Exceptional spoken and written communication skills

Position Overview
The Application Support Manager will oversee all enterprise application platforms in collaboration with rest of the IT team, with a specific focus on SAP Enterprise Applications. This role will as a business partner in the organization to deliver technology projects that meet business objectives. The role ensures that the respective business, application, data, and technology perspectives are in line with the organization’s technology and governance strategies, policies, and standards. The role will develop a deep understanding of the applications, the business needs and objectives, and will work with 3rd party technology partners to optimize the use and adoption of these applications across the organization. They will act a application subject matter expert to solve problems and proactively recommend improvement, optimizations, and process enhancements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leads and manages the portfolio of all enterprise business applications within the organization
- Works with all departments and business leaders to define needs for technology-enabled business processes and applications
- Own incident management and resolution for all enterprise applications in close collaboration with internal users and external technology partners
- Works with Director of IT and the rest of the IT team to develop/enhance the technology roadmap for the organization
- Understands concepts and technology related to data architecture and data transformation
- Knowledge of instituting controls to ensure data quality, including data security, retention, and archival
- Provides guidance and research in product, component, and vendor selection as appropriate for specific projects
- Owns the maintenance, upgrade, support, and continued enhancement of business applications within the organization, as needed
- Develops and maintains relationships with vendor partners.
- Maintain documentation for all implementation, integration, and processes for enterprise applications

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 4+ years’ relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2+ years of Enterprise Applications experience including System Analysis, Design, Procurement, Testing, Implementation, Documentation, Vendor Management, and License Management
- Demonstrated experience architecting, consulting, implementing, and customizing solutions and workflows
- Experience with middleware, reporting, and Modern user interface (UI) tools and technologies
- Experience in process design, requirements analysis, feasibility studies, software design, programming, testing, deployment, installation, and operational management
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture including application architecture, database architecture, and technology architecture
- Experience with architecting, deploying cloud-enabled solutions, and enterprise application integration and frameworks
- Experience with SAP Enterprise systems is preferred
- Strong deductive reasoning, critical thinking, problem solving, and prioritization skills
