Job Summary

The primary role of the assistant golf professional is to provide the best possible customer service to golfing guests by assisting the golf management team in all areas of the operation. All duties of the position shall be performed with a commitment to the highest level of customer service and respect of all guests and co-workers alike.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional image at all times.
  • Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, golf facility operations and tournament operations.
  • Directly involved with the daily golf operations with concentration on the following job duties: Guest check-in, starter and tee captain duties, outside customer service tasks.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction while promoting the game of golf and Pebble Beach.
  • Comply with all Pebble Beach Company safety policies and procedures.
  • Opening and closing procedures.
  • Collection of all golf fees.

Other Possible Duties Include

  • Support and assist in the pace of play objectives of Pebble Beach Golf Course.
  • Assist in the coordination of golf activities with other departments.
  • Remain current with teaching trends and other golf technology that may add value to the operation.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Assist in the sales and inventory control of all retail items as requested.

Required Skills

  • Strong working knowledge of the game and rules of golf.
  • Experience with point of sale systems and cash handling practices.
  • Maintain a credible golf game.
  • Friendly, willing to work hard and a team player.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently and task oriented.

Job Summary

The Social Media Content Producer is responsible for the daily management of Pebble Beach Company’s social media accounts and paid digital advertising. In addition to concepting and producing visual content to tell the Pebble Beach story, this person will be responsible for the way the brand connects and communicates with consumers in the digital space.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Community strategy and management on core platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and emerging platforms
  • Plan, develop and create editorial calendar and publishing schedule for social content, promotions, and campaign activations
  • Daily social media account moderation
  • Use social media analytics to constantly optimize performance
  • Develop processes and procedures to ensure projects are prioritized and delivered on time
  • Develop, implement, and execute innovative social media strategies
  • Familiarity in interacting with user generated content and repurposing content for brand needs
  • Partner with and facilitate promotions and collaborations with resort operations, event marketing partners, and paid social influencers
  • Oversee Community Management during special events (AT&T Pro-am, PBFW, Concours)
  • Ongoing collaboration with digital marketing team to develop new and innovative content
  • Work with entire marketing team and media agency team to build, launch, optimize and report on digital media campaigns
  • Expand knowledge into the broader scope of digital media advertising technology and strategy
  • Compile monthly social media and paid media activity reports

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field
  • Minimum 2 years marketing experience and/or digital marketing; experience with hospitality and luxury brands a plus
  • Strong understanding of digital and social media landscape
  • Ability to interface easily with all levels of management and cross-functional teams
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with performance optimization and analysis tools, such as Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
  • Familiarity with all major social platforms and common tools needed to use them effectively
  • Strong understanding of best practices, development, and algorithms in social media landscape
  • Ability to operate as a social content curator of interesting and compelling content to share across communities
  • Strong understanding of key social media KPIs, analysis and reporting
  • Demonstrated experience managing paid advertising campaigns with experience optimizing paid social campaigns
  • Experience using data to gather insights, experience optimizing messaging to increase campaign performance
  • Proven track record of producing strong visual multimedia content

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Heavy solicitation and prospecting/developing new group accounts in and converting them into top producing strategic accounts
  • Utilize PowerSearch and LinkedIn for prospecting regional and national accounts
  • Oversee the RFP process for designated accounts and markets; CVENT experience required
  • Build and maintain relationships and partnerships with national sales offices to contract new business
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of market trends, competition, and customers
  • Initiate strategic plans to maximize business from each account and maintain accurate profiles in Delphi
  • Ensure that each account receives a world-class experience by taking full responsibility for the success of their program.
  • Must understand a customer’s service needs as well as their business objectives and implement a strategy to ensure that we help them achieve these goals.
  • Prepare correspondence, proposals, and contracts to customers
  • Conduct 8-10 sales trips, trade shows and / or industry meetings per year to secure new prospects
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings and account reviews

  • Develop new business from prospecting efforts during Pebble Beach Special Events (AT&T Pebble Beach Pro Am; Concours d’Elegance; Pebble Beach Food & Wine)
  • Provide office coverage on Saturdays as necessary.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Business, Sales, Marketing or a relevant field of work, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
  • Valid California driver’s license
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in group sales
