Constant Contact Commercial Casting

We’re casting people who meet the following criteria in the SF Bay Area for a Constant Contact Commercial. This casting is open to everyday people. No acting experience is necessary. 

All gender identities, sexual orientations, body types, and abilities are welcomed. 

ROLES: 

  • Underdog Woman, female, 30-40s, acting experience preferred, comedic experience is a plus
  • Guy with Puppies, male, 50-60s. Must be comfortable with dogs
  • Big Muscle Guy, male, 30-50, ripped + big body man 
  • Real Couple, 20-the 30s, at least one person with comedic exp is a plus 
  • Asian Male Runner, ’30-’40s, East Asian, Southeast Asian, and South Asians  
  • Bigger Body Woman of Color, 20-the 30s, non-traditional runner body type but comfortable running
  • [Extra Role] Runners, male and female, 20-60s, open to all body types 

FILMING: 4/5 + 4/6 (1-day shoot) 

WHERE: SF Bay Area (no paid travel, LA talent needs to work as local) 

COMPENSATION:

$500 for filming + $3000 buyout if/when the scene is used in the campaign (20% agent commission if relevant)
$75 wardrobe fitting 
$325 if selected as extras 
CALLBACK: 3/28 via Zoom  

USAGE: Non-union. 2 years from the date of the first usage. All media. US for TV (worldwide for Internet/Digital/Industrial).

Our Software R&D department develops Pixar’s in-house and open source software. We work very closely with both artists and engineers to build innovative filmmaking tools that enable our film production and continuously extend artistic reach. At Pixar, we are all a part of the storytelling process, and you will have an opportunity to partner with our filmmakers as we make the best movies in the world.

We are looking for a Developer Relations Manager in our Software R&D Department! You’ll be Pixar’s first point of contact for partner information management regarding Universal Scene Description (USD). You will promote standards and good development practices by actively engaging with partners and developer communities to build relationships and answer questions pertaining to our open source software and surrounding procedures. This position requires a blend of technical skills coupled with content development, presentation, and customer-facing skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Evaluate, evangelize, and drive USD adoption
  • Partner with engineers and management to develop recommendations for the product roadmap and process improvement
  • Help educate and support internal & external teams on relevant industry trends
  • Take a data-driven approach in defining developer relations success metrics and prioritizing work so that progress can be clearly measured and communicated to stakeholders
  • Provide project management with guidance on external project timeframes and priorities
  • Work closely with a technical writer to identify opportunities of improvement for documentation, guidelines, and other policies
  • Represent needs of external partners to internal engineering teams

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Know what it means to work in a cross-functional team structure and influencing across product areas/groups.
  • Understand how product roadmaps are crafted and what drives them
  • Familiarity with presenting to technical audiences and generating content for developers
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and make forward progress on multiple concurrent tasks
  • Know-how of developing software at a technology company
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work hybrid work model (4 days a week on campus)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience

The hiring range for this position in Emeryville is $143,140.00 to $185,240.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
