The Art Director will be the lead for our in-house studio photography and evolve the creativity and projection of the floral, plant, food and gift brands we create and oversee. This role will be responsible for a small team of stylists and cross functional partners, such as photographers and retouching. The ability to plan, concept direction and manage tight deadlines and large volumes is a must. The scope of work is photography and photo production, and draws heavily on strong visual acumen, problem solving, conceptual thinking, plus deeply collaborative communication skills.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Maintain and evolve on-brand creative from initial concept through creative reviews and dailies
· Ensure all work visually supports the cohesive creative projection of each season
· Support leadership in creative exploration of test ideas
· Collaborate with cross functional teams from Merchants to Product Development to produce
on-brand and on-brief photography
· Deliver a highly creative level of art direction for all projects by established deadlines
· Create and present forward thinking but on-brand seasonal set development/moodboards. Be able to persuade teams and present detailed ideas in collaborative way.
· Oversee on-set art direction, and maintain cohesive style guide for all photographers internal and external.
· Create retouching ziflows and approve all retouching
· Partner closely with leadership to support and roll-out seasonal directions and ancillary campaigns
· We are a learning focused creative team: as a leader you will be required to coach and develop overall junior creative team, giving opportunities to learn and hone new skills
· Lead and empower team through roadblocks and unexpected problems
· Manage and hire freelancers for internal/external shoots and videos when necessary
· Stays relevant creatively & technologically by owning patterning and researching current
design/industry photography trends. Present seasonally new and refreshed directions

- Responsible for ordering the graphics and/or video for reporter hits, guest segments, intros, and teases for daytime news shows and entering them into the rundown
- Work with the graphics PAs to ensure elements are spellchecked and editorially/factually correct

- Understand the stories and all the nuances to stack appropriate videos for segments

Role’s Description:
• In partnership with the Creative Director, the art Director will concept and execute innovative and beautiful visual concepts, both still and moving image, through to execution for new launches, seasonal themes and existing products that live in the print and digital space; including in-store, social media, DTC and digital/print media and resonate globally.
· Using in-house studio, photographer and sourcing support needs across casting, stylists, props etc., direct and lead photoshoots and video shoots from concept through completion to ensure the level of excellence in all creative work designed and executed, including but not limited to:
· Creative concepts: shoot briefs and designs, on set and photographic/video art direction, timeline management and execution of all assets.
· Supervision of retouching, production, and of all execution for campaign to ensure consistency and cohesiveness.
· Partner with shoot production team members to make sure relevant assets are captured during shoots.
· Participate in Creative briefings, and partner closely with Marketing to understand 360 campaign needs, output and timelines
· Maintain brand strategy, identity, and consistency.
Qualifications:
• College degree in Creative Arts or Graphic Design.
• 5+ years of experience directing photoshoots in luxury or beauty.
• 5+ digital and print graphic design experience in luxury, beauty, e-commerce merchandising.

Requirements:
- Act as the owner of the strategy and design for all your projects – adapting the style and the tone based on audience, channel, and industry.
- Work closely with senior creatives and strategists to ensure creative ideas are insightful, thoughtful, and match the client’s needs
- Work with Project Managers to maximize the design team’s potential through growth plans and constant review of completed work.
- Work closely with the designers to assist them in producing thought out work while upholding agency design standards
- You have 3-5 years of experience within a creative agency, leading a team of designers who are working on multiple projects across many different industries

- Proven experience working as a Creative Director Copy.
- A successful track record of copywriting and concepting, including experience in the digital channel.
