Responsibilities

  • Flawlessly execute the company’s programs and event
  • Provide leadership in management of internal production teams

Springville Center for the Arts is a growing multi-arts center located in a rural community in Western New York State. Programming includes theater, concerts,  exhibits, workshops and more based out of an 1869 former church. We are seeking a seasonal Youth Theater Manager to assist with our summer programming.

Responsibilities: The Youth Theater Manager is responsible for managing and assisting SCA’s summer college interns in developing workshop and lesson plans, creating set pieces for performances, and coordinating performance and event logistics. They will create programs to teach and build a greater appreciation for the visual and performing arts in our community.

Duties: Manage, schedule, and support a team of theater interns. Work closely with Visual Arts and Musical Theater interns in all production aspects. Teach summer workshops in schools and in the community while working with other staff in other event related duties.

Qualifications: Candidates should have their Bachelor’s degree or be a recent graduate in theater or other related fields. The ideal candidate can develop and manage schedules, assist in the creative process for theater productions, and instruct college-aged summer interns.

Benefits

Base salary range: $90-125K, plus bonus potential if applicable for role.
