JOB SUMMARY
Our Multimedia Journalists (MMJ) bring impactful, creative, local stories to viewers. They research,
develop, shoot, interview, edit, produce and deliver compelling, contextual coverage on deadline while
capturing quality visual content. Contributes to special features and stories. Participates in coordinating
coverage of major stories, breaking news and specials.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create original news stories with a focus on character-driven, innovative storytelling; gather
  • information for news stories using beat sources, contacts and leads
  • Build contacts and sources within the assigned community
  • Report within assigned deadlines
  • Deliver news reports, including live reports, demonstrating energy, confidence, professional
  • appearance and voice quality
  • Write, shoot and edit news stories for an assigned newscast or news series
  • Combine video, audio and graphics to tell the story effectively
  • Work with a photographer on occasion
  • Work with assignment desk editors and production staff and independently in the news-gathering
  • process
  • Manage general upkeep of assigned company equipment
  • Responsible for representing channel in a professional manner

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Must have sufficiently strong story development skills to submit original story ideas on a daily basis

DATE NEEDED:  **OVERNIGHT SHOOT!!*

WEDNESDAY 12/15 approx Call Time 7:00pm going into the morning of THURSDAY 12/16 approx Wrap Time 05:00am

Should have flexible open availability to allow for call/wrap time changes. Should plan on at least a 10 hour overnight shift

PA producing branded photography for Dick’s Sporting Goods. The Junior Producer is responsible for overseeing photo

and/or video projects from start to finish, ensuring they run smoothly and seamlessly, while reporting on progress to senior

team members.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing both small and large-scale projects
  • Supporting team members to maximize productivity
  • Ensuring projects stay within timescales and budget
  • Structuring projects and devising processes that ensure efficiency
  • Generating clear and succinct project reports
  • Engaging with creative teams to understand their progress with tasks
  • Liaising with clients and members of the creative team, to keep projects running smoothly
  • Presenting work to stakeholders for sign-off
  • Initiate bids from photographers, modeling agencies, stylist agencies, location scouts and freelancers
  • Develop and manage shot lists for custom photography projects and production timelines
  • Coordinate procurement and return/donation of product(s) for shooting
  • Creation of purchase orders and processing of invoices for all outside vendor costs
  • Work with vendors to insure timely completion of projects
  • Develop and refine process to increase productivity without decrease in quality
  • Handle multiple project timelines and budgets simultaneously
  • Route materials for both internal and external client approval

  • Ensure that adequate levels of content production are maintained, and such production is of a high standard of quality


Qualifications

  • Degree in Photography, Media, Design, Visual Arts, Fine Arts, Business Management or equivalent work experience
  • 1-3 years professional industry experience producing in a high-end, high-volume photography studio for retail advertising,
  • catalog, or other commercial photography
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to meet deadlines
  • A positive, enthusiastic attitude towards work
  • An understanding of both technical and creative processes
  • Demonstrated organizational skills
  • Confidence to drive a team in order to get the best results for a project

The Associate Editor will be a key player in ramping up product testing, guides, reviews, gift guides, roundups, how-tos, and deals. The ideal candidate is someone who is up to speed on (and perhaps even obsessed with) the latest and greatest photo and video gear, accessories, and general consumer tech. The Associate Editor will report to the Senior Gear Editor, but will collaborate with other team members, our SEO specialists, and our commerce team. PopPhoto is part of Recurrent Ventures, a virtual-first workplace with offices in New York, Miami, and San Francisco.

The Responsibilities:

The Associate Editor will be a key stakeholder in growing a new dedicated team focused on helping PopPhoto readers separate the “good” gear from the “great.” They’ll manage a stable of contributors to assign, write, and edit product reviews, buyer’s guides, how-to stories, and more. In close collaboration with the SEO and commerce teams, they’ll work to optimize the reviews program and overall product coverage to reach the most people, identify new coverage areas, and develop innovative on-brand approaches to expanded product coverage.

The Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience editing and assigning consumer technology coverage, specifically camera and video gear and accessories
  • Experience with hands-on product testing

Greatness Media is hiring a Producer who will be responsible for the strategy, creation and editing of all audio and video content. You will work closely with our Associate Producers and the other members of our creative, marketing and production teams to transform ideas into long and short form video and audio content for Greatness Media marketing, School of Greatness podcast, Youtube, American Public Television, social media and much more. The ideal candidate is experienced performing all video creation tasks including pre-production, lighting, sound, shooting, and editing. HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE:

  • Lead all video creative direction to accomplish audio and video production objectives
  • Lead strategy for production growth
  • Lead podcast guest strategy and communications such as pre-interview, interview, reporting, recording, editing and writing of scripts
  • Manage and direct all on site studio staging, lighting and equipment
  • Create and distribute social media content for promotion of podcasts
  • Manage team of editors
  • Manage the media for the archive and any future tapings, audio and video

YOUR ABILITIES AND EXPERTISE:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in digital media, cinematography, film studies or related field
  • Experience shooting viral short-form video content for social media
  • Some experience creating social media content
  • Experience in the Adobe Creative Suite including Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects, etc.
  • Proven work experience editing extensive video and audio content
  • Proven work experience working closely with talent (understanding the discretion needed and the processes for interacting with talent)
  • Experience in content creation with images, audio and video content for social media
  • Demonstrated video editing ability with a strong portfolio
