Situation seeks a Creative Director to lead the creative strategy and campaign development for select clients across the arts, entertainment, and live event space. This role will report to the VP, Creative and collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues across marketing, creative, and social teams to deliver innovative work. What You’ll Do

The Creative Director serves as the creative lead for their set of clients, brainstorming and concepting idea-driven campaign executions that ensure we’re bringing our clients’ stories to life across a multi-media landscape. The right candidate is a seasoned creative leader with unmatched creative curiosity who knows how to take an insight, turn it into an idea, and map out executions that meet our clients’ business goals. The right candidate is a passionate storyteller, natural collaborator, and knows creating great ideas in a team sport.

As a leader at the agency, this role is eligible for the following: managing direct reports as the team continues to grow, participating in the new business process, and contributing to process improvement and development to strengthen team workflow.

Our office is located in midtown Manhattan and we are currently working in-office three days per week.

Sample Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Drive the creative strategy for macro and micro planning deliverables–advertising messaging, content, virtual events, brand activations and promotions, influencer, etc.–that meet client objectives
  • Develop high-level concepts for creative projects on a recurring and ad-hoc basis, balancing responsible ideation, proven effectiveness, and innovative thinking
  • Develop a strong, authentic, and effective brand tone and voice for your clients; maintain that voice across all platforms and canvases
  • Brief fellow creative and social media team members with the “who, when, and why” to arrive at the best “what”
  • Quality control and review creative output once a project has moved from pitch to production
  • Provide on-set creative leadership and support for your client’s projects
  • Collaborate with Account and Project Management team to ensure pacing and growth of production work
  • Identify instincts-driven and insights-backed opportunities to improve creative impact and shift creative strategies
  • Uphold creative standards through a working knowledge of strong copywriting and editing skills, design principles, etc.
  • Pitch and present with passion and purpose; clearly and confidently communicate recommendations internally and externally

Requirements

  • 6+ years of relevant experience at creative agency, studio, or in-house marketing team in a creative role
  • Excellent ability in a creative field (content, copy, design, video, social, etc.), advanced skills using the tools of that trade, and a passion for storytelling in multiple formats, mediums, etc.
  • A working knowledge of the other creative disciplines outside of your primary craft in order to be a strong collaborator and effective creative leader
  • Strong perspective for what makes creative marketing efforts stand out and perform in a crowded marketplace
  • Dynamic and confident presentation skills to pitch ideas clearly and effectively
  • Troubleshoot and problem solve efficiently, intelligently and with positivity
  • Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced creative environment with a keen eye for detail and calmness under pressure
  • A passion for live events, entertainment, and/or the arts; working experience in these industries, agency or client-side, is a plus but not required
  • A portfolio of your work in lead and hands-on roles (please include when applying)

Religion Of Sports is seeking a highly talented and motivated Motion Graphics Art Director to join our Emmy-winning team at ROS Labs, a newly established department at the company focused on innovative motion design, VFX, and graphic design for film and television, as well as emerging technologies like VR and AR. As the Motion Graphics Art Director, you’ll be responsible for leading the creative direction of motion graphics projects across multiple platforms, including film/television, social media, and emerging technologies. You will work side-by-side with the Executive Creative Director and lead creatives to be a partner in creating groundbreaking work.

Responsibilities

● Lead the art direction of motion graphics projects from concept to completion, providing clear direction to designers and animators to maintain the vision for a project.

● Work closely with the ECD to develop and present creative concepts to clients and internal project teams, focusing on stewarding a unified vision from concept to completion.

● Ensure that all motion graphics projects are visually stunning, innovative, and meet the highest creative standards.

● Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and techniques, continually pushing the boundaries of motion graphics and design.

● Collaborate with project managers to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, and proactively problem-solve project issues.

● Mentor and develop junior designers and animators, guiding their creative growth and development.

Qualifications

● Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Motion Graphics, or a related field.

● 5+ years of professional experience in motion graphics production, including experience as an art director leading teams of artists and vendors.

● Strong portfolio showcasing motion graphics work and creative leadership.

● Strong proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, and 3D programs (Cinema 4d/Octane/Redshift preferred). Some proficiency (or dabbling) in additional software like Unreal Engine/Houdini/Meta Spark are a plus.

● Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

● Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.

Primary Responsibilities

CREATIVE / EDITORIAL

  • Research, investigate, vet leads, videos, and tips as assigned by Dr. Richey for Exclusive stories to break on IND
  • Fulfill specific research requests by Dr. Richey
  • All reasonable requests to be delivered within the scope of investigative producing and deadlines as assigned by Dr. Richey
  • Conduct phone calls for verification of information, file FOIA requests, conduct all due diligence in the investigation and vetting of exclusive stories
  • Write summaries of investigation for Dr. Richey
  • Go through ‘IND TIPS’ email to track potential leads, pitch to Dr. Richey and then pursue to verify, investigate and produce stories

  • PRODUCTION
  • Once story is approved to produce, edit SOTs, request graphics, lower thirds, and fully produce exclusive segments
  • Coordinate exclusive segment production with EP, Producer and AP
  • Gather visual and audio elements (Gfx, masters, stills, etc.) from News Agencies, Social Media or other News Outlets
  • Coordinate / produce / create visual and audio elements of the show (Packages, VO’s SOT’s, Statistics, Graphics) required to build the exclusive reports
  • Quality Control: ensuring videos edited meet quality requirements.

  • POST-PRODUCTION
  • QC publishing (title and thumbnails, descriptions, crossposting)
  • Identify exclusive stories in tracking sheet so AD can track video views and performance

Job Overview

We are looking for a visionary with big ideas. This person is a natural-born creative who is highly motivated and willing to work in a fast-paced environment. Their main role is to translate marketing and retail strategies into compelling, competitive creative for the packaging and in-store experience. As a leader within the Creative Services business unit, they are responsible for the creative development and final output of print and packaging collateral. They are also ready and willing to roll up their sleeves and work alongside graphic designers to deliver creative assets. The associate art director is responsible for managing internal and external resources within the Creative Services unit. They will serve as the leader of cross-functional creative teams, promoting quality, productivity, teamwork, and unity in visual direction across a variety of mediums and platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead creative development for retail packaging and in-store displays
  • Collaborate with the Sr. Manager of Creative Services to develop innovative concepts
  • Translate marketing initiatives and strategic positioning for products to various creative teams
  • Ensure the Marketing department’s intended messages are delivered clearly and creatively to consumers through print assets
  • Take work from concept to final execution, ensuring final assets are reflective of the vision and direction agreed upon by both the Marketing department and Creative Services unit

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, or related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 programs
  • Proficient in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, or other relevant visual design tools
  • Strong command of the principles of graphic design including, but not limited to, typography, layout, color theory, hierarchy and balance
  • Hands-on experience developing packaging designs and consumer-facing in-store displays (POP, POS, PDQ, endcaps)
  • Experience working on creative production assets for small home appliances preferred (in-house or agency)
  • Ability to deliver production-ready designs, available in a wide variety of formats
  • Well-versed in production processes and materials
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply sustainable practices in print collateral preferred

Recreation is looking for an experienced Art Director to join our team. You will work with other talented designers, writers and strategists across multiple disciplines to develop engaging creative solutions.

Our ideal candidate has experience in brand design and digital. Motion design is a plus. This person shows skills as a conceptual designer, but also has the necessary skills to crank out production work when needed. Above all, a drive and passion for the craft of design is essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Produce high-quality visual designs—from concept to execution, with a focus on digital.

We are seeking a mid-level Art Director to join our award-winning creative team to work across key accounts and new business, as well as help lead a team of junior designers.

Job Summary

We are looking for a mid-level Art Director who has the ambition towards big thinking and disruptive ideas. They will be expected to be ready to jump in and become a quick team player, working with both junior and senior members of the creative team to execute against client briefs. We are looking for someone who can contribute to establishing a look, tone, and feel for a range of clients, and can deliver ideas and visual direction against the direction of a Senior Art Director and/or Creative Director.

Job Responsibilities

  • Execute and ideate on campaign-based deliverables for Social, Digital and Traditional Media, including stills, videos, story content, banner ads, media partner assets, print ads, OOH, etc.
  • Formulate and develop disruptive ideas with the ability to receive and respond to creative direction.
  • Be a part of the team that develops visual identities and branding.
  • Work with other members of the art department to develop project strategies and create visual elements for clients
  • Manage multiple clients and deliverables simultaneously.
  • Manage creative presentation decks.
  • Have experience and exposure to both the pre and post production process. Shoot experience is a plus.
  • Have strong presentation skills, both internally and with clients.
  • Lead and take part in the entire campaign development process, from establishing objectives until the project is completed and presented to the client.
  • Give and receive constructive feedback in a respectful manner.
  • Expert in MAC software and Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. Experience with Adobe Premiere is a plus.

Job Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or Portfolio School degree in Graphic Design, or a related field is required for this position. Please share with us a strong, creative portfolio showcasing successful campaign work for a range of channels.
  • 2-3 years experience in a creative agency or combination of in-house/creative agency.
  • Strong conceptual thinker with a passion for design. You have a strong visual eye with good taste, design sensibility, and are detail oriented. Your work is visually powerful, thoughtful, evokes emotion and inspires action.
  • Solid understanding of editorial design, typography, photography and illustration.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with creative partners, you will be paired with Copywriters and art directors.
  • Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills for communicating with clients, internal team and management.
  • Must have a working knowledge of current and up and coming social media platforms, ideally having worked in the social space for previous accounts. (Platforms include Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook and Twitter.)
  • Collaborative and team oriented skills working with members of all different departments.
  • Experience working in beauty & fashion, technology, and CPG is a plus.

Must be located in the NYC area as we work on-site 4 days a week.
