Compensation: Selected actors will be compensated $225 for participating in the event. This payment will be provided as a flat fee upon successful completion of the event. Casting Call: American Detective, Episode 310

Job Details: We are excited to announce casting opportunities for “American Detective,” a true-crime recreation series that brings the gripping stories of real undercover officers and their investigations to life. This non-union project will feature limited scripted audio to enhance the narrative. The filming will take place in Knoxville from August 29th to August 31st.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Undercover Officer Team:

   • Gender: Male
   • Age Range: 35-45 years old

   • Role: Portray undercover officers with a convincing undercover appearance.
   • Scene: One scene, likely scheduled for Wednesday around 1:30 pm.

2. Convenience Store Extras 1-4:

   • Role: Act as background characters in limited scenes showcasing the victim’s regular job. Mill around in the background during a conversation between detectives and the store owner.
   • Scene: Likely needed on Thursday around 7 pm.

3. CSI Tech #2:

   • Physical Condition: Good physical condition with the ability to stand, kneel, and squat.

Key Considerations you must know before auditioning:

• You’ll need a good microphone and quiet recording space.
• Meeting deadlines is essential. We usually give you enough time for your lines.
• While a contract does not bind you, we hope you’ll commit to finishing your role once you start.
• Scripts are around ten pages, but characters usually have 2-3 minutes of screen time.
• We’ll credit you with your preferred name and social media links in the video description.
• The videos match Fortnite’s seasons, which last about 80 days. We release around ten videos per season.
• If you enjoy working with us and the final product, we’d love it if you consider auditioning for more roles in the future. This helps us a lot!
• Having a Discord account is helpful but optional. We use it for accessible communication, but we can also use other methods.

SPOOKY ONSEN YURI
VISUAL NOVEL CASTING CALL

Audition deadline: August 30, 2023, 12 pm CST

Genre: Mystery, Young Adult, 

Project Synopsis: Yuri game in a magical world where a couple has a vacation at an onsen but encounters some spooky supernatural events. They spend the trip trying to chase down the cause, and it turns out it’s a magical dog whose powers have run amok!  The characters are Sophie and Alice from the game Death Becomes You. The script is kinetic (no choices), aimed at 20k words.  Spooky Onsen Yuri (working title) occurs shortly after Sophie and Alice graduate.

Note: This game is a sequel to Death Becomes You and stars the same characters from this game!  During the game’s events, Sophie and Alice were in IRA (Ira Royal Academy) magic university, but are now learning to do “adulting.”

AUDITION ELIGIBILITY:

• Must have either an XLR or a USB mic with good treatment. We will not accept auditions done with phone/laptop mics for these positions.
• Must be 18+.  

• Have a Discord. It is unnecessary to join a server during the audition process; however, if cast, our primary means of communication for work will take place over Discord.
• Be comfortable with recording your lines in a live-directed session! When registering your takes for the characters, you will be in a live session with the casting director.  You must be okay with recording in this manner.

FILE REQUIREMENTS:

• Recordings must be raw. No submissions should be edited or mastered—we want to hear raw audio.
• Export in MP3 format.
• Name files “CharacterName_YourName.” For example, “Sophie_RachelAdkins.” 
• If auditioning for multiple characters, please put them all in individual files, following the naming convention above for each!

What to Do For The Audition Itself:

• For the audition sides, please include at least two takes per line. Lines should be in AABBCC format.  Please do not do more than three takes per line.

• Do not slate your audition.
• No background noise. Please ensure that there is no background noise competing to be heard in your audition–we don’t want to be distracted by background noise while listening to your beautiful voices!
