He’s head over heels in love with his husband Alex and his daughter Julie, though sometimes, as the only extrovert in the family, he can be the odd man out. He does his best to relate to Julie’s struggles with shyness and social anxiety, even if they are strange concepts to him, and is a wonderful father.

SYNOPSIS:

Middle school is the new high school. The life of a preteen girl is tough. You’re 12 going on 13, while everyone else in the class seems like they’re turning 20. Everyone else is trendy, sophisticated, and well…popular. This is a story of two girls hilarious struggles to make it through these formative years, where every day is awkward and the most important day of their lives (!!). While the title, Popularity Papers, may suggest a show about how to become popular, at the heart of it this series is about discovering your authentic self and not trying to be someone else just to fit in. It captures the real challenges of being a tween girl and disarms them with humor, love, and friendship. It’s a show that proves failure is an option, humiliation is good for a laugh and middle school is survivable.

Lydia and Julie are best friends on the hunt for answers to history’s question: How does someone become popular? Through pragmatic (and not-so-pragmatic) testing and social experimentation, they’ll figure out what it really means to be popular and finally get answers to questions like, do you really need to ditch your real friends to become popular? Should you quit the things you’ll love just because they’re considered “uncool”

Production  Description:

Timothy Olyphant is dusting off his cowboy hat (you know the one). Olyphant will reprise his role as Raylan Givens, that smoking gunslinger, in a miniseries spinoff of FX’s crime drama Justified, which ended in 2015. Graham Yost and the creators of the original award-winning series, Elmore Leonard and Fred Golan, will also return.
Following the original series, it will be based on Elmore Leonard’s book City Primeval: High Noon in Detroit. The new limited series will be based on Leonard’s novella Fire in the Hole and other stories featuring Givens. After Givens’s work in Kentucky is completed, the United States Marshal resides in Miami before moving to Detroit and becoming involved with the case of the Oklahoma Wildman.

Speaking of dangerous men, FX announced the addition of eight new actors to the cast of Justified: City Primeval. Boyd Holbrook, Vondie Curtis Hall, Norbert Leo Butz, and Victor Williams have been added to the main cast as new characters alongside Aunjanue Ellis, Adelaide Clemens, Marin Ireland, and Vivian Olyphant. Other Justified actors such as Walton Goggins as Boyd Crowder or Jere Burns as Wynn Duffy have not confirmed if they will return for the revival, while new faces will be joining Olyphant.
