Runner – Live Sports Production Assistant
Job Description
A live college football broadcast at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee, is looking for a reliable Runner to support the production crew behind the scenes. This position serves as an extra set of hands for a variety of broadcast needs, including completing errands, delivering supplies, assisting with personnel logistics, and helping production departments stay prepared throughout the event. The ideal candidate can work independently, navigate Nashville efficiently, and respond calmly when new assignments come up during a busy live production. A possible setup day may take place before game day.
Job Responsibilities
- Complete local errands, pickups, and deliveries for the sports broadcast crew.
- Transport production supplies, documents, and other materials to designated locations.
- Assist with logistics involving announcers and other broadcast personnel.
- Support production departments with operational requests throughout the venue.
- Stay in communication with supervisors while completing assigned runs.
- Respond efficiently to unexpected or time-sensitive production needs.
- Help keep essential behind-the-scenes tasks organized and on schedule.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Valid driver’s license is required.
- Previous Runner, Production Assistant, live event, or broadcast production experience is preferred.
- Reliable transportation and familiarity with Nashville are preferred.
- Strong time-management skills and ability to prioritize assignments.
- Dependable communication with production supervisors and crew members.
- Ability to work independently while following instructions accurately.
- Flexible and proactive approach to changing production needs.
- Basic knowledge of live sports broadcasting is beneficial.
