Remote Wedding Video Editor (Project-Based)
Job Description
A wedding filmmaking team is hiring skilled, experienced video editors for remote, project-based post-production work. This role is best for editors who can confidently cut cinematic wedding films from start to finish, deliver polished edits on deadline, and communicate clearly across multiple projects. Consistent, reliable editors may receive priority access to higher project volume.
Job Responsibilities

Edit cinematic wedding films from raw footage to final delivery

Create a teaser edit (about 1 minute)

Produce a highlight film (about 6–10 minutes)

Assemble a documentary edit (about 10–40 minutes, including vows and speeches)

Build IG-ready assets, including Instagram carousel layouts (7–15 slides) pulled from footage/stills

Manage timelines, provide clear delivery dates, and meet agreed turnaround expectations
Requirements

Strong storytelling, pacing, emotion, and music selection skills

Tasteful, cinematic editing style (avoid overly flashy or dated effects)

Confident color grading for natural, cinematic looks

Reliable system/gear capable of handling 4K editing smoothly

Organized workflow and ability to manage multiple projects at once

Clear, responsive communication

Wedding editing experience preferred

Able to deliver portfolio-ready work with minimal supervision
Compensation

$250–$475 per project (based on edit type and workload)

Potential earnings up to $2,000 per month for editors completing an average of 8 projects
