Job Description

A short-form indie production is hiring a Director of Photography (DP) for an upcoming shoot. The project will be filmed over two days and requires a skilled DP who can bring creativity, efficiency, and strong visual storytelling to a small, collaborative team.

This is a non-union, paid position (indie rate) ideal for professionals experienced in short-form or digital series production.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate camera and manage all visual aspects of the shoot.

• Collaborate with the director to achieve desired tone, framing, and lighting.

• Handle on-set camera setup, including movement and shot composition.

• Maintain technical consistency and ensure smooth production flow.

• Oversee the use of gimbal and tripod for stable, high-quality footage.

Requirements

• Must have gimbal and reliable tripod.

• Experience working on short-form content or independent productions.

• Strong visual storytelling and lighting skills.
