Responsible for managing the overall look and feel of our digital presences. This position will have oversight of the Web Producers and work closely with newsroom management. Manage online content including selecting and writing necessary content for multiple platforms. Assign tasks to digital content producers and other newsroom staff, hold reporters accountable for daily posting routines in the field, provide employee feedback on a continuous and regular basis, plan for the long-term growth of the sites, set priorities and plan coverage for major events, develop and guide the execution of tactics to achieve metrics, oversees mobile content on various mobile platforms, serves as a primary link between on-air and online news as a key member o the News Management Team. Must have strong leadership and motivational skills, and be an energetic journalist who works well in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Must have a working knowledge of social media platforms, HTML formatting skills, and knowledge of how to FTP/publish web content. Must have strong editing, and keen editorial judgment with the ability to handle breaking news. Bachelor’s degree in journalism or other related fields with a minimum of 2 years of web content experience and 2 years of management experience.
