Freelance Associate Producer
Documentary Series, Law&Crime Network
We have an immediate opening for a freelance, temporary hire Associate Producer to join Emmy award-winning investigative journalists Brian Ross and Rhonda Schwartz in the production of a new documentary series for the Law&Crime Network. We’re seeking candidates with prior experience on long form projects, with a journalism background and strong producing and writing skills.
The AP will assist producers with all aspects of story development and producing including research, booking interviews and coordinating field shoots. The AP will also be involved in archival photo and video research, preparing transcripts and organizing elements for writers and video editors and various production work as needed.
Requirements:
We are looking for entry-level applicants with at least two years of prior film production experience preferably on a long form project or series, or a graduate degree in journalism or film studies with hands on producing experience.

Terms of employment :
This is a freelance position for 3-6 months with the possibility of extension. The Law&Crime network is based in Manhattan but we will consider a remote or hybrid work arrangement for a qualified candidate. Recent graduates who can provide strong references and have work experience will be considered. Salary commensurate with experience.
