POST SUPERVISOR

SUMMARY

The Post Supervisor will act as the team leader and manager for the Lockt editor staff. The

‘editor staff’ includes assistant editors, junior editors, and staff editors. They are responsible for

the technical and managerial oversight of the edit staff. They will also act as a liaison between

producers and edit staff for resource management. 

ROLE/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for resource management, staff training, mentorship, editor training, and so

all deadlines are met

  • Responsible for staff training, mentorship, and ensuring company standard workflows

are maintained

  • Ensure editor staff is consistently engaged in continued education training with clearly

defined objectives

  • Ensure editor staff has consistent internal projects assigned to work on between external

project downtime

  • Maintain clear and concise editor staff status updates to internal departments in

real-time

  • Responsible for maintaining a positive atmosphere and culture within the department
  • Facilitate the smooth operation between post department, creative department, and

entertainment department

  • Assist post producers in the scheduling and coordination of media preps, music pulls,

archival footage searches, editing, and quality control/review sessions

  • May be required to assist edit staff on projects, but will not be ‘project-assigned’
  • Help post producers and edit staff facilitate Transcription Services, as applicable
  • Submit bi-weekly project tracker to Controller

REQUIRED:

  • Strong interpersonal abilities 
  • Exceptional team leadership skills
  • Proven ability to coordinate various activities. 
  • A deep understanding of the logistics of the Post Production process
  • Post Production process and technical knowledge
  • Be forward-thinking  and detail-oriented problem solver 
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Advanced experience using Adobe Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Media Encoder), DaVinci Resolve, and Google Suite products.
  • Knowledge of the offline and online editorial process, video editing softwares, digital audio workflow, motion graphics, and file formatting is required.

PREFERRED:

Knowledge of and experience with VFX

Salary: $60k – $80K

Our new Group Creative Director will lead and inspire the creative genius and output from our team of designers, art directors, writers and strategists—and be just as comfortable with the business of day-to-day creative production and overseeing the project account managers who make that happen. 

This multi-talented leader will report to our CEO and work alongside senior leadership and other department heads to constantly innovate studio efficiency and elevate our creative and brand solutions for our clients. The GCD position will be a partner in growing this exciting business. 

Roles and opportunities for our uniquely talented GCD:

  • This is your creative studio to define and shape. Craft breakthrough work with your team, Mentor young extraordinary people, Bring inspiration and creative influence into our workspace.

  • Develop best practices for creative excellence and strategic thinking in our direct-to-client studio approach, and be responsible for client-facing creative POV’s and pitches. 

  • Oversee individuals’ creative product, their personal growth at the company and work with HR to continue to build a diverse, inclusive stunning group of freelance and full-time contributors.

  • Possess strategic thinking in regard to brand utilization and writing skills to elevate our contribution to copy and content across all channels and communication.

  • Develop best practices for creative processes across the spectrum of Stept production and post departments.

  • Handle the business of creative with budget creation, project bid estimates, talent utilization and talent compensation. 

  • Responsibility for compelling content, execution and presentation of new business pitches.

Experience Requirements:

  • 10+ years of developing award-winning creative and strategic ideas
  • In leadership position within a creative agency or studio environment 
  • Managing and mentoring a team of creative professionals 
  • Strong understanding of production/post-production process and costs 
  • Leading new business and growing existing client portfolios 

Salary: $180K – $240K

Stept is looking for an Associate Creative Director – Copy to join the Stept Creative team who lives at the intersection of live action, design, brand, and culture to oversee creative direction and execution across our portfolio of top- tier brand clients. We are looking for a practiced team leader and first-rate overall creative with big picture thinking and passion for pushing the envelope when it comes to dreaming up cutting-edge creative concepts. The ideal candidate is a multimedia creative and content expert, has a true understanding of how the industry shapes culture, and can connect to our communities by telling relevant, authentic and emotional stories. 

You’ll do…

  • Conceive, craft, script and help oversee best-in-class creative and content ideas on brand, on strategy, on time, and on budget – from inception to production, through post & delivery.
  • Assist in managing, motivating and creatively direct our internal teams, developing and executing the most attention grabbing creative and content to accomplish business objectives. 
  • Drive best practices across all creative including conceptual thinking, copywriting, art direction, and production.
  • Create and interpret creative client briefs to conduct brainstorms and articulate concepts and executions in writing with rationale. Go above and beyond the original brief to push what’s possible on both a creative and technical level.
  • Act as a key thought partner to Sales, Account and Production, ensuring that we are meeting or exceeding briefs.

You’ll be…

  • 5-7 years of developing strategic creative for top tier brands at reputable agencies. 
  • Experience leading, managing and mentoring creatives across a range of personalities and experience levels.
  • Experience reviewing and giving feedback to a team of Creatives. 
  • Expert ability creating beautiful presentations that express conceptual thinking and big ideas in Keynote and Google Slides.
  • Superior presentation and communication skills, people skills, and ability to thrive in a collaborative agency environment.
  • Understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud programs including Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier and After Effects.
  • Understanding of production equipment including cameras, lights and audio is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of budgets and scope which are reflected in creativity.
  • Passionate about culture whether that’s music, entertainment, technology, or sport.
  • Diverse portfolio including 360 campaigns demonstrating innovative thinking
