As the General Manager (GM), you will oversee all Red Bull sales and marketing activity within a defined geographic area or region. You will lead the execution of Red Bull’s business plan within the region. Your leadership team is composed of a Director, Marketing (DOM); Director, On Premise (DOP); and Director, Distribution (DOD). You will lead this team to understand the Red Bull business strategies and implement them within the region with their customers and consumers. You will report to the Executive Vice President General Manager (EVPGM) and be located in Boston, Massachusetts.

PLAN & EXECUTE REGION BUSINESS PLAN (BP)

  • Build the annual Business Plan (BP) for your region following global and national strategies
  • Ensure agreement and integration for our marketing and sales plans
  • Implement our annual BP with region’s third-party and independent distributors
  • Provide input and feedback to your senior leadership on BP strategies
  • Manage region budgets for Marketing, Distribution, On Premise, and in-directs according to business plan

LEADERSHIP

  • Lead your team in working towards important customer and consumer programs
  • Measure results on important region goals vs. business plan
  • Promote coaching, feedback, and training across your teams in real time
  • Ensure yearly goals and measurements are set for every employee
  • Promote “Best 11 Player” philosophy for our talent and hiring decisions

REGION MARKET TRENDS & ANALYSIS

  • Analyze important customer and consumer trends (e.g., $ share, PSA, WvC, T&A, HHP, SOR, etc.) and develop action plans to address market opportunities
  • Ensure we are the #1 energy drink brand in store
  • Ensure important business plan priorities are implemented with our distributor networks

KEY RESULTS AND DELIVERABLES

  • Achieve annual volume business plan goal
  • Deliver in-store execution results (e.g. WvC, PSR, VIP)
  • Deliver annual distribution goals
  • Deliver against Business Plan marketing events, athlete projects, media outcomes, and consumer metrics
  • Deliver dollar and unit share results

YOUR AREAS OF KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE:

  • 10+ years of experience within Sales, Marketing, On Premise, or Distribution within the beverage industry or a lifestyle brand
  • 5+ years of team leadership experience
  • Expertise and leadership experience in at least one primary business pillar (Sales, On Premise, Distribution, or Marketing)
  • Proven ability growing business and winning against competition through the execution of sales and marketing plans

Red Bull

The Red Bull USA Social Media Manager translates the world of Red Bull to our social media channels, with a focus on TikTok and our @redbullusa accounts. You are a TikTok-native expert who can ride the waves of changing platforms and make data-driven decisions on the road to reaching a wide range of US consumers. Your primary goal and challenge is to stay top of mind with entry-point US consumers, while building ways to attract new ones, reporting directly to the Director, Social Media . You will be an expert and strategist for Red Bull Media House, identifying and expressing the most impactful opportunities and approach to Red Bull’s media properties.

STRATEGIZE AND EXECUTE SOCIAL MEDIA PROGRAMS

  • Build and implement social media plans for Red Bull USA channels across all platforms
  • Manage a content calendar across channels and projects
  • Manage your time and a team of creatives to deliver success across priorities
  • Work with Red Bull athletes, dancers, artists, and opinion leaders to reach marketing goals through content
  • Learn and develop Red Bull USA’s channel strategy and Red Bull’s Global approach to social content so you can be an informed resource for content teams
  • Communicate Red Bull’s creative aspirations and tone of voice through content
  • Build, maintain, and grow a community of Red Bull brand/can lovers

IMPROVE SOCIAL MEDIA PROCESSES

  • Build, maintain and evolve social media standards between Red Bull and its main communities
  • Evaluate internal Audience Insights research; test and apply to programing decisions on existing formats; share best practices across networks to influence optimization
  • Investigate and evaluate social platforms, tools, and services against team goals
  • Build clear and efficient content pipelines from the US business to the Red Bull US accounts
  • Use partner relationships and the best content to land Red Bull US content on @redbull main channels and vertical sport channels
  • Work in partnership with the Director of Social Media to deliver education around social best practices, priorities, clear ways of working, and pipelines for publishing to Red Bull US

NETWORK AND COLLABORATE

  • Manage projects and partners across departments in Red Bull North America, Global HQ, and regions
  • Manage delivery of projects to ensure they are both editorially strong and budgetarily efficient
  • Collaborate with other teams (production, marketing, advertising, commercial and platform partnerships) to measure and promote success

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in storytelling/campaign-driven social media; experience in managed and owned channels
  • Competent video editing capability; in-app editing experience in TikTok and Instagram
  • Experience with social platform CMS, capabilities, copyright management
  • Planning, project execution, and analytical competencies
  • Knowledge of audience analytics, audience development, and the ability to understand and learn from data
  • Collaborative problem-solver

The base salary range for this position is $101,000 to $112,000 + cash incentives

Actual salary offer may vary based on work experience.

The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

INSPIRED & STRATEGIC ATHLETE MARKETING ACTIVITY

  • Lead regional Sports and Athlete Marketing teams to build annual business plans that display a balance of regional, national, and global marketing strategy.
  • Create detailed plans for athlete performance and marketing objective targets
  • Establish short-term and long-lead planning of goals
  • Promote excellence in execution according to Global HQ Sports and Athlete Marketing principles and standards
  • Build business cases with national and global impact
  • Influence important partners to obtain needed resources to accomplish projects

STRATEGIC ALIGNMENT & ATHLETE ROSTER OPTIMIZATION

  • Drive strategic development of regional athlete rosters
  • Ensure cohesion and thoughtful consideration of local, national, and global sport discipline dynamics and understanding of Red Bull Athlete Marketing strategy and principles
  • Develop networks in important national sport industries focused on identifying the best up-and-coming talent potential with a specific eye toward a diverse mix of future world champions, national sport heroes and game-changers that embody Red Bull’s brand personality traits
  • Support regional teams with direct expertise
  • Share best practices through the athlete contract negotiation and renewal process
  • Identify latest playgrounds, athletic trends, sports media landscape, innovations in the sports and athlete space, new technology and applications

PROCESS OPTIMIZATION

  • Create processes that maximize the Athlete Marketing team’s ability to empower athletes, maximize collaboration, and build inspiring activities.
  • Partner with Red Bull Media House, Brand Marketing, Communications, Partnerships, and Sales to authentically integrate athletes into national marketing projects
  • Lead high acumen of Red Bull Athlete Marketing processes (i.e., contract negotiations/renewals, branding and product management, sportive performance and marketing objective tracking)
  • Collaborate with internal Insights partners to analyze metrics to inform strategy and aid in decision-making
  • Use NSF and other third-party relationships to communicate product efficacy through athletes to participants, fans, and consumers
  • Work with company partners to align and deliver perfect product positioning and messaging through internal and consumer-facing channels and tools

Qualifications

  • 7+ years sports and/or athlete marketing experience
  • Proven track record of high-profile, nationally relevant marketing and/or sports talent management
  • Flexibly manage athletes and athlete marketing programs across diverse sports and playgrounds
  • Direct experience across multiple sport disciplines
  • Data analysis experience with multiple sport and media data/outcomes
  • Experience in endorsement agreements – securing name and likeness rights and usage
  • Experience in consumer product marketing with a focus on entry point consumers
