‘Blackhat’ is the Biggest Box Office Bomb of 2015

‘Blackhat’ is a major flop in the box office with the lowest numbers of 2015.

Blackhat is the biggest box-office bomb of 2015. Blackhat is the 2015 American action thriller directed by Michael Mann and written by Morgan Davis Foehl that premiered earlier this week. Blackhat centered around a furloughed convict and his American and Chinese partners hunt a high-level cybercrime network from Chicago to Los Angeles to Hong Kong to Jakarta.

Unfortunately, for Legendary Pictures, the movie was a major disappointment.

According to reports, Blackhat cost $70 million to produce but, only made $6.2 million in the box office. That is a loss of nearly $64 million dollars.

Blackhat was a box office bomb, opening at #10 and earning only $1.7 million on its opening day. It was projected to make just $4.8 for the weekend against its $70 million budget.

Blackhat has received negative reviews from critics. On Rotten Tomatoes the film holds a rating of 32%, based on 111 reviews, with an average rating of 4.7/10. The site’s critical consensus reads, “Thematically timely but dramatically inert, Blackhat strands Chris Hemsworth in a muddled misfire from director Michael Mann.” On Metacritic, the film has a score of 49 out of 100, based on 32 critics, indicating “mixed or average reviews”.

NBC ‘Constantine’ ratings continue to drop

After NBC stopped production on Constantine, rumors circulated that the TV studio was going to cancel the Friday drama series.  NBC’s ‘Constantine’ is still struggling to find an audience. According to reports, ratings for Constantine have dropped 38% since the second episode.

Back for a new year and in a new time slot, the demon hunting detective series retuned for the remaining 5-episodes of its 13-episode run. Unfortunately, the ratings sprits were not evoked for Constantine (0.8/3) at 8 PM last night. Moved to a potential more advantageous earlier slot, the series based on the acclaimed DC Comic was down 20% from the near high of its last original at 10 PM on December 12. Fourth among the Big 4 in the new slot, that’s a tie for the worst the struggling show has done since it debuted on October 24. Bloodied in the ratings as it was on last night’s “Saints Of Last Resorts Pt. 2” episode, Constantine also fell a hard 38% from what a new Dateline pulled in the 8 PM time slot back on December 12. With the slot full of Grimm repeats the past few weeks, last night’s Constantine was at least up 14% from the 2-hour episode of the procedural fantasy drama.

The Atlanta filmed drama ‘Constantine’ is based on the Hellblazer graphic novels. The series centers on master of the occult John Constantine, who is struggling with his faith and is haunted by the sins he committed in the past. But, he put into the role of defending humanity from the forces of darkness.

‘Sleepy Hollow’ Season 3 To Film in Atlanta

If Sleepy Hollow is renewed for a third season, the Fox series will leave North Carolina and film in Atlanta, Georgia.

Following the end of North Carolina’s Film Tax Incentive program, the first major network series is backing it’s bags and moving down south.

According to Star News Online, Sleepy Hollow will film Season 3 in Atlanta, Georgia.

“We’ve explored other places to produce that show and I will tell you it came down to Atlanta and Vancouver and it looks like we’ll head to Atlanta,” she said following a news conference at the Television Critics Association winter 2015 press tour. [via]

Last year the North Carolina state government chose to let the state’s tax incentive expire. Lawmakers replaced it with a grant program that will give out no more than $10 million in total to qualified productions. The most each production can receive under the new program is $5 million.

On the brightside for North Carolina actors and crew members, “Under the Dome” will return to film in the spring, and will collect $5 million in tax incentives. But, for Fox executives, $5 million was not enough to keep “Sleepy Hollow” in North Carolina. Crews are expected to finish filming in Wilmington, North Carolina later on this month.

Fox Renews ‘Empire’ for a Second Season

‘Empire’ gets an early season 2 renewal from Fox.

According to reports, Fox’s ‘Empire’ has received a second season after just two episodes. The announcement came during Saturday’s Television Critics Association press tour in Pasadena.

Created by Lee Daniels, the director of ‘The Butler’, the show premiered to extremely high ratings in the first two episodes. Currently, the show averages a 5.3 rating by Nielsen, the series has become the number 1 new series of the season. Following its second episode, it is the only new drama to grow in numbers over time.

Empire centers around Lucious Lyon played by Terrence Howard, the head of a music company, who has just found out that he may have only a few years left to live. He is currently in the process of choosing which one of his sons will take over the business. But, his former wife and mother of their kids, Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) returns from prison and complicates everything.

The Walking Dead’s spinoff series, aka Cobalt is ramping up production as we speak. According to reports, things will be very different than the Atlanta based TV series. This new series will take place in Los Angeles, and instead of walking through the woods, we can expect to see zombies crawling through audition rooms.

According to the creator of The Walking Dead and The Walking Dead spinoff series, Robert Kirkman the new series will be extremely different than the original.

I will say that this is going to be a show about family. But it’s going to be a show about a different type of family that we haven’t explored in The Walking Dead thus far. So what we’re trying to do with The Walking Dead spinoff is keep the story as familiar as possible for people that love The Walking Dead, so you’ll get the kind of things that you expect from a Walking Dead story. But, at the same time, we’ll want to tell these stories in a completely different way with completely different people in a completely different setting that’s going to make for a fundamentally different show. I think the look and feel of The Walking Dead spinoff is going to be startlingly different. [via]

The new location for the Cobalt will allow for several different storylines and even zombie celebrities. But, what is the most important part of the interview is that the new series will be able to stand on its own, separate from the original series.

You could watch The Walking Dead spinoff if you’ve never watched an episode of The Walking Dead and get a really great, rich, fulfilling experience out of it. It has to be a show that can stand on its own. I think that’s what we’ve accomplished, and we start filming in a couple of days. I’m really excited.

The new series will air next year and we are looking forward to zombie celebrities!

A group of friends that have become extremely financially situated from the out of town drug game was forced to leave town in a hurry. This particular group of guys was held in high regard to other hustlers from their native city. When their out of town money spot went sour, they took it back home and spent a lot of time in different gambling spots throughout the city playing in high stakes C-LOW games.
With this type of money and different types of characters of dudes, it’s only a matter of time before murder and deceit decides to make their presence known.

NBC ‘Chicago PD’ is looking for extras in Chicago, Illinois.

NBC’s Chicago PD centers on the Intelligence team located at the District 21 of the Chicago Police department. This team fights the city’s major offenses including organized crime, drug trafficking, and high profile murders.

Casting directors are now seeking extras to work on a scene filming on January 19th in Chicago, Illinois. Producers are looking for drivers pedestrians and cars.

The name “CLICK” is actually in homage to the sound a camera makes and to the photographers, and crew who make the magic happen for all aspiring models and talent. Now they are currently holding anOpen Call for aspiring models in theAtlanta, Georgia area.

But, now over the past 30 years Click has added offices throughout the United States including New York, Orlando and Atlanta. Currently, they represent over 1000 models with divisions focusing on Women, Men, Plus Size, Runway, Showroom, FIT, and Television Commercials.

The talent division manages actors and acresses for film, soap, and television opportunities. Many of the most famous models include Isabella Rossellini, Uma Thurman, Whitney Houston, Elle MacPherson, and Grace Jones all have been represented by CLICK.

Let’s talk about being white.

As part of MTV’s anti-bias “Look Different” campaign we’re looking for young white people who really want to talk about race and how it’s currently effecting them.

A recent study showed that 9 in 10 Milennials feel that people should be treated the same no matter their race.

73% believe having open discussions about race will help combat prejudice.

But only 30% of white people say they were raised in a family that talked about race.

SO WE WANT TO KNOW…
